Flight plan view

Don't know if this is as it is intended to be, but it's a bit annoying. 

When you bring up the flight plan view on the PFD or MFD, the view shows the waypoint last selected with the cursor. Now, if you are on a long range flight with a fairly long flight plan you need to start scrolling down a while to see your active leg and waypoint. 

Wouldn't it be comfortable to see the active leg centered or on top when selecting flight plan view? 

Is this as it is in the real G1000, or is there a way to make the G1000 act like this?
