fly60 Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 Hi Guys. I am brand new to Xplane, converting from FSX. My question is how do I make an iso image of Disk1 so I can use it for starting the sim. Cheers all 2
Eddie Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 There are plenty of tools for converting your legit X-Plane disk into ISO format. From there, you can simply mount the ISO with a tool as if it was in your DVD drive and X-Plane will recognize it. Many think this is somehow immoral, but I don't see why. You're still using your legit copy of X-Plane, just virtually instead of physically, and this prevents your disk from wearing out over use.
Jah Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 I used DemonTools for it... http://www.daemon-tools.cc/deu/downloads
ephendi Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 And then use virtual clone drive for mount before xplane run. I have no DVD now in my new PC so this is my way to run my legal copy of xplane everytime. Odoslané z môjho iPad cez Tapatalk
fly60 Posted July 7, 2016 Author Report Posted July 7, 2016 Thanks all for your support. I have now managed the .iso image and mount it. Am using it from now on. Now on to actually getting the hang of XPlane.
