Hi Javier, regarding that incredible rain effect, when u get time, can u have a look at these issues?

1. when taxiing for awhile, I opened the canopy and noticed that even though the canopy was open, some rain streaks were stil rolling down the non-existent window.

2. would be a nice evolution one day- as u get faster, could the streaks go horizontal and/or move faster?

Not urgent issues, will just make an amazing plane uber-amazing!

Hi Simon...

Yes.. I saw the raining drops issue in your last video. Are only the ones on the copilot side.. I thought I linked all to the animation of the canopy (I put much attention doing that, but seems need fixing). Anyway is easy to fix.

The second thing i Don't understand at all. What are teh streaks? are the rain moving faster? Well there is a problem there. I can't without programming. If Laminar put animation of texture on x-plane I could do something.. but I need something of code to make them move faster. I was thought the best solution would be doing the rain with particles.. but still has work to do.

If you see the weather video of Gran turismo weather:

that is the best you can have on rain fx and snow.. that only can be done with a good particle system... but today on x-plane is totally years behind from that (hope we can have something close soon).

On CRJ there is speed rain.. a little better than on the Mentor.... but that is because the windshield on the CRJ is more "flat" so I could do it better. And because there are wippers that clean the rain. But for sure there are more investigation to do on this.

I put on Mentor rain drops.. just because the feeling they give. You know that if you want to hide them (the raindrops appear above clouds where doesn't rain. There is a new dataref from laminar to fix that comming) you can press the thermomether.
