BK117 livery A-1 CN 7002 "Dare Spare" - EXCLUSIVE TO X-PILOT.COM
Repaint for Nils Danielsson's excellent payware MBB BK-117.
Simply unzip the file "CN 7002 Dare Spare" into your xplane/aircraft/helicopters/bk117/liveries folder.
This is the livery of 7002, the second BK117 made. From 24th February-3rd March 1983 MBB used 7002 to perform further flight tests in order to improve the flight envelope of the BK117. The extreme elevation of Leadville airfield (9,927 ft or 3,025 m) in Colorado was perfect to prove hover flight in and out of ground effect (HIGE, HOGE) up to 11,000 ft.
This livery shows the aircraft from July 1989 when it was pressed into service for Dare Medflight out of Dare County Regional Airport, North Carolina, (to replace 7010 N39187 which fatally crashed in March that year).
7002 is currently one of the Stars medevac fleet.
