Greetings and well wishes to everyone at X-Pilot.com,
I am a retired Army Veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan wars with many rotations to combat. During my career I was honored by a few great Air Force and Army pilots with my first true taste of flying, while onboard military aircraft. The bug was started.
I have met with a local Certified Ground Instructor at the Monarch Air Office in my town. He briefed me on the price, allowed me to sit in the airframe they use for the offered training program and help set expectations for skills needed upon completion of the course. As a result of our meeting I purchased X-Plane 11 and all the necessary controls to properly simulate flight planing, air navigation and landing with the Cessna 172 SP -NAVIII (G1000).
The question I wish to answer pertains to the cost the Ground Instructor quoted me.
$8,438.95
Can anyone confirm this is a fair price?
Included in the package offered by Monarch Air are the following:
Cessna 172SP Nav III (Dual) 20 hours
Cessna 172SP Nav III (Solo) 15 hours

Ground school 10 hours
Cessna 172SP Nav III Information Manual
Communications Headset
Computer Test Preparation Review
FAA Flight Medical Certificate
FAA Written Exam
Cessna 172SP Nav III (Rating Check Ride)

Examiner Fee
I look forward to everyone's feed back.
Sincerely,
Bobby
