  1. OKAY! I HAVE COME TO OFFER SOME INSIGHT

I know it's really late, but hey, if you need a bit of extra, this stuff should be great, especially for gears

1: the A320 family is extremely complex, firstly, good luck :)

    2. I have found, that the best way to build an aircraft is using photos, NOT blueprints. What I did for my Fokker 100, was I made a cylinder in planemaker, the length of the actual jet, then used that as a scaler to help me match background photos of the actual jet to build over top of

    3. DO NOT USE BLUEPRINTS. Blue prints are extremely inaccurate and never give a proper view of the aircraft, use ONLY PHOTOS AND DIAGRAMS THAT YOU CAN CONFIRM USING PICTURES.

    4. I will make myself available for information and tips, I use blender to build my aircrafts, but a lot of the same principles should apply to animation.

    5. I don't know shit about plugins, outside of very basic SASL. Sorry :(

Here are some images that I would use to build the plane

http://photos.plane-mad.com/9/large/9208.jpg <- this one is especially good for wingbox work, along with gear scaling, since it's almost a perfectly forward shot

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/38/Tragfl%C3%A4che_(Airbus_A320).jpg <- this one's a good one to study in order to figure out how the flaps move, and where they stop

    Hope these help :)

    Good luck!

  2. UNDERSTAND SOMETHING. ALL AIRCRAFTS PRIOR TO THE 767 ARE BY MY STANDARD ILLEGAL, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE A310. NO DISTRIBUTION OF THESE AIRCRAFTS IS ALLOWED, AND ANYONE WITH KNOWLEDGE ABOUT PEOPLE DISTRIBUTING THESE JETS MUST NOTIFY ME IMMEDIATELY.

    THESE AIRCRAFTS INCLUDE:

    707

    777-200ER

    777-200LR

    777-200F

    777-300ER

    737-600

    MD-81/82/83

Understand that I am no longer affiliated with any distribution of those aircrafts.

Also, for those utilizing Howard Lau (Howardthepilot1999)'s facebook flight training group, he is using illegal aircrafts to train you, including, based on my knowledge, my 777-300ER, which is FORBIDDEN.

Please, report any usage of my aircrafts, and help me put a stop to this.

    Thanks.

    Michael

  3. I still have copies of the plane, but not the original blender files, and since i've done things to them that can't be re-imported, the entire project has been put on hold, until i get a new laptop. i know that ruyjo and redpiper have copies, but each time i send out a beta, i don't include the blender files, to save size, otherwise the plane is like 500 megs

  4. My macbook was stolen from me, and I now lack the files and equipment to work on any of my planes, therefore, all projects are on hold indefinitely and may not resume for at least 6-12 months while I try to recover my work and get a new laptop. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm now using school computers to access this site, and i will NOT be able to log in every day now, only once every 2-3 days.

    787 is now On hold,

Fokker 100 is now on hold

    Michael.

  5. computer was stolen, all projects have been halted indefinitely.

I'll be online from time to time, but not as often as before, since i'm using my school's computers.

I'm really sorry about this, but believe me i'm working as hard as i can to recover my laptop and get back my work. until then, no work will be posted anywhere.

Estimated timeline is 6-12 months if i have to recreate the aircrafts, maybe earlier if things work out well

  6. 787s have electric driven hydraulic pumps, but not FBW.

the 787 is equipped with fly-by-wire, remember, all that means is that the plane uses wires and electricity to control it as opposed to cables. the fbw is a lot simpler than teh a320s. but it still features a lot of the things that the a320 has.

  7. File Name: Boeing 767-300 Paintkit

    File Submitter: Michael_Chang

    File Submitted: 03 Jan 2013

    File Category: Heavy Metal

    X-Plane Version(s): X-Plane 9

Livery For: Click Here For Aircraft

This is the Skyspirit2010 paintkit by Philip Foglar, at the request of a painter, i have decided to upload it here.

None of the work in this kit is mine, all .psd files belong to Philip foglar, the original texture artist for my 767.

Please credit him as the paintkit maker in your liveries.

This paintkit has several layers compatible with all the 767-300s uploaded here and contains all engine types and all possible fuselage configurations.

    it will be confusing.

  8. It looked a lot more than 50 knots.  Watch that video and see it launch itself off the runway and plunge down just before impact. No way is that 50 knots.

Halfway down the runway it should have been having thrust reversers applied and speed significantly reduced from the speed it came off the runway at. For some reason the pilots either didn't, or couldn't, get the speed down. I can't even blame the snow for that - by the video the snow wasn't bad.

Interesting point was that it was a second attempt at landing. I wonder what the cause for that was.

you can actually hear the gears of the aircraft scraping along the ground just before it comes into view, for the most of the time it left the runway, it was on the ground heading towards the highway
