  1. New aircraft added to the fleet, China Southern 787, seats and interior are not available yet.
  2. Updated cabin interiors, adding in the lavatory signs, TVs, Crew chairs, new ceiling panels and refined wall textures
  3. I use 2.45, because it's the easiest in terms of FSX conversions and X-plane work google "blender 2.45" and it should yeild the ideal results
  4. thanks for the advice! the texturing of the nose is already done, we did take out a lot of triangles already, and reached the conclusion that without the current amount, the actual surface of the plane gets a little bumpy, we are continuing our struggle to reduce polygons though
  5. more than a few days, more like a few weeks! i started this project the second week of august, the 787 is still under development at the same time, with the Qatar livery getting it's finishing touches to both the objects and the paint and the other three liveries getting new texture maps
  6. i would but the 787 cockpit was so painful to create, i can't fathom creating another at this moment
  7. currently re-designing the windscreen area
  8. So now that the 787's been rooted, it's time to post here about my second project, the Fokker F-100 This project is a non-conversion one, 100% modeled and textured by me (so far) the model is a little more polygon-heavy than previous planes (767) and will feature a full cabin but no 3d cockpit. the plane will be distributed in two versions, the fokker 100 with Stairs, and the Fokker 100 with gate doors. release date is estimated around the same time as the first 787 (december) Constructive criticism and improvement-needed areas are encouraged Background of this project: I was looking through some of my older files, and i realized that we don't have a good F-100 for x-plane! that plane has always been one of my favourites, because of it's shape and simple design, so i decided, i'll make one, it'll be a great chance for me to venture further into the world of modelling and probably improve my eye-to-detail. Either way, the plane currently needs LOTS of work, but hopefully things will go well!
  9. idk, this seems kinda stupid, it's just like apple suing samsung
  10. more shots of the interior and exterior
  11. blades are looking much better, just remember, that some of us *ahem* me*** have crappy comps, so only model what will be visible
  12. So i just got the Qatar exterior done, thanks to Chris Gregg for designing that I also got business class seats for the Qatar 787, courtesy of william wang
  13. ah, i got it, the engine blades don't start their outward twist early enough, the engine blades are angled almost parallel to the plane and then twist like DNA, but the twist isn't starting early enough, also, PLEASE!!! if you find a way to incorporate those reflections as a dynamic feature, your plane would be INCREDIBLE
  14. looks good! don't forget though, the gear doors only open about 70 degrees, the larger ones in front open to 90. Also, the fan blades look strangely swirly, even for the GENX/RR1000, might want to take a closer look at that really digging the shiny textures, u think you could incorporate those into x-plane?
  15. as a fellow canadian and avid supporter of the avro, i think i can guess
  16. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/blogs/dailybrew/made-canada-avro-arrow-could-rise-again-homegrown-163052593.html?_esi=1 So just now it was announced that the avro arrow may be revived and turned into a modern fighter as a cheaper solution to the current F-35 stealth fighter planes. According to the article, the Avro would be able to out-perform the F35 in several ways. As a proud Canadian, it would be great to see this legendary bird fly again, but i'm really interested in what the rest of you have to say about this project! ~MJC
  17. those fanblades look REALLY swirly!
  18. your wing-root fairing is wrong, make sure that the coke bottle shape is present! other than that, great job! from what i can see the engines look great, although the nacelles appear too narrow.
  19. okay, i found a problem, the a330-300 models are extremely tail-heavy, when i load the plane to MTOW, it wants to tilt back and the nose gear lifts off the ground about 3 feet before slowly falling back down. During takeoff at MTOW, the plane immediately starts to tilt upwards and hits the runway with it's tail for the duration of takeoff roll
  20. lower pedestal work, still needs a lot of work though and a closeup
  21. New screenshots of the 787's cockpit, this is an image of the central panel and MCDU computer keyboard
  22. Announcement! this 787's first release date is now slated for december 2012, with a plugin free version, simulating about 50% of the 787's features. after that, a new, fully simulated version will be released around april with the plugin
