  1. Hi, folks. I just built a new machine that is running wonderfully. AMD Phenom Quad, 8 gigs of RAM, onboard video. I also have the CH Yoke, the THrottle Quadrant and the Saitek Multipanel. I load the demo 10 and it loads up fine. However, the keyboard commands don't work (tried F1 and F2) and nothing happens to the throttles. Set up the CH Yoke and Throttle Quad in the X-plane menus. The yoke works (I can see it move in the onscreen cockpit) but nothing will operate the throttles (also, flaps work on the Quad). What am I doing wrong? Also, the pane is moving on the runway at about 1 fps. The computer checks out -- I even tested the chip with Prime95 and it passed with flying colors, same for MemTest. I'd love to move over from FSX, but, not at this rate. What am I doing wrong? mGN
  2. Will do. However, where do I find the Updater? I'm having chip cooling problems (soon to be rectified with a far more robust cooler) and it has been pointed out to me that I may be experiencing severe processor throttling and that could be the problem with X-Plane. I'll have the new cooler later this week and will then repost. The machine will presently run real slow and even pause for periods of up to 45 seconds -- obviously, not an environment where something like X-Plane 10 can operate. mgn
  3. A newbie here trying to switch over to XPlane 10 from MSFS X. It takes forever to load the demo. During the load-in, if any key is pressed or the mouse is moved, the load-in fails and I have to get out of it with the Task Manager. If I stay away from the machine the program will finally work with the 747 sitting there running and ready to go. I set up the CH Yoke and it reads the button presses, etc. But, once I'm on the main screen, nothing on either the keyboard or the yoke buttons or other axis (except the yoke itself) will work. Pressing F2 to apply throttles does nothing. So, there it is -- but a huge frustration because I'd like to fly it. Please help. maestrogn amd phenom II x4 9850 MSI 7850TM-E45 MS 7549 4 GHz RAM
