Tom- I thought that cloud shadows would only work with the "stock" XP clouds or an Aerosoft replacement. FYI, I use Skymaxx Pro. I haven't had a chance to try the scripts. Just curious about the cloud shadows.

I was at version 10.03rc2. From inside the sim, I tried to update to 10.04. It said I was already up to date. After several attempts, I exited the Sim and used the stand alone Updater app. That worked. Kinda strange because I had used the in Sim process for all other V10 updates.

I'm new to X-Plane but had the *exact* same problem with Web Demo ver 9.7 I was told that older graphics cards do better with older drivers. I tried to install an older driver for my Nvidia 6600GT but couldn't get it to install. More research led me to a command line option that did the trick. Using option --no_glsl Worked great. It tells XP to run without pixel shaders. 2 dashes followed by the no_glsl parameter.
