Mmm.. I would like to have it before summer vacations. Before July if it is possible. The 3D cockpit is finished, so now I have to make animations, manipulators, systems, talk with programmmer to make the FMS and other plugins, correct the plane, and finally build the 3D cabin... Make some liveries.. and betatesting, and correct it. Still we have 3 months for that July.. I think we can make it.. but of course if the plane is not ready I am not going to release it. The plane is flying on x-plane right now.. but we have to correct somethings... Thankyou for the support!

Thinking a little bit more, I though about the internal canopy again.. and a better way to make that mask box: The arrows are the direction of the normal. hope it work. the only thing.. is... if works... Will it work also if the cockpit is inside the objects folder and the cockpit.obj is only planes and transparent planes to make clicking? -
Well.. Because I don't want to be lost this post, that maybe could help to someone, I want to rescue it here. So Here it comes: As you know.. In blender.. if you want to see transparency and see throug it the objects behind, you have to render that faces the last ones. So to do that you create groups. in the example they put into the help in blender.. they say that if you have a cockpit with transparent canopy and transparent hud, to show propertly all... you have to create two groups with the hud and canopy this way: 1. All geometry without group 2. Group A Canopy 3. Group B Hud So the first you see has to be the last to be drawn and that way you can see everything through the canopy and hud+canopy So... With my problem to make an real hud. If I map the faces of the geometry of the hud inside the panel.png in front of it.. would be great.. but when I move side to side.. I would never see how it slip the information "inside" the hud. the first think I though was to put a transparent plane maped with the pane.png information of the hud behind the geometry of the hud (also transparent but only for viewing through it). the problem? In the front I would see it smaller (no problem.. the plane behing bigger than the geometry hud plane). Going side to side.. the info slips.. but I would also see that false hud not seeing through the geometry hud.. because it is there. So I had to think of a mask or something. First I though about a dataref that controll something like "hide if this dataref (point of view) is here or there" but could not find any. So here it comes the exporting groups. we have: 1. geometry hud. Just for visual, but transparent 2. a box (or plane better) that surrounds the geometry hud (is in the same distance from our eye) but with a hole the same size of the geometry hud (is important because is like the mask we want. 3. the transparent plane with the info of the hud mapped from the panel.png How we make that box to be a mask. see every geometry but no the 3º option (the transparent plane with info of the hud?) Easy. groups. If the groups are like this we could see everything.. so is not our purpose: 1. Group C: Geometry hud (transparent) 2. Group B: Box Transparent (mask) 3. Group A: box mapped with info of the hud with the panel.png but if we turn 2 & 3... 1. Group C: Geometry hud (transparent) 2. Group A: Box Transparent (mask) 3. Group B: box mapped with info of the hud with the panel.png We could not see the group B because is drawn behind the group A.. but group A HAVE A HOLE IN THE SAME POSITION AND SIZE OF THE GROUPC!!! here is a drawn of the idea....

My first intention.. was to make the hud like the Javelin.. but maybe I have problems with all the systems that I have to map.. so from now.. this version is without hud (I have seen CRJ-200 without it).. But if I see no problem putting a Hud.. then I will put inside, and of course will be retractable. A soup of letters here: It takes 6 hours to make this part.. I am going fast, because I make everyday 5-6 hours working on the project. There is no magic wand. If I didn't ask for the reduction of time on my job, I would still be on the external painting of the CRJ.

Finally the 2 and a half week of hell-mapping is almost finish. Now comes the fun part. Painting. In here shots, the Ambient shadows are baked. Not the normal shadows, because that would be strange. Then ambient shadows are the shadows that comes from a cloudy day. If x-plane in a future put projected shadows over the geometry, then it would be ok with this baked shadows. So they are not as bright as the render ones, but this are real time screen captures. On movement they are nice. Still lot of work to do... but visually things are going to change soon on the 3d cockpit.

Newsss news news!! X-Aviation will only distribute and sell the CRJ-200. With his support the plane will be better, and have all the experience of doing good flight dynamics, good support, inmediate downloading.. and the same quality as his other products. There are so many good things comming from X-Aviation, as I have seen.. and X-aviation is going to became a strong reference on x-plane for sure. The celebrating this, here comes the first render, with x-aviation logo. Still not info about the CRJ-200 there, but soon there will. Because of this, somethings will change on www.jrollon.com The Forum will be moved to X-aviation with all the users inside. All the support of all my planes, will be there. Even the Texan and the Javelin. The Javelin will be still sell here, and all the updates will be here, as maybe othere future products. Who knows

First testings on x-plane 9.30 Beta 1. Still has to do the remake of the smoothing groups, and shining not over all parts of the plane. The screenshot are taken and not modified at all. Just like they are. Where 1900pixels with all higher.. and 80fps. Not too much difference between the screens I uploaded outside the simulator.

While painting, I post these two screenshots.. All with my Wacom and patience.. More still to do, but starts to see the bird coming out of the egg....

No rendering screens this time. Just screen captures from the 3D program. Now the diffuse Shadow is baked over the plane, and those shadows will be shown on x-plane. There are 2x2048 and 3x1014 textures in whole the plane. Exported to x-plane to see frames impact and really nice: over 100 fps.

Well... the 90% of the external model is finished. After finishing the Landing gears (the rear ones) and some doors, it will come the boring mapping with no update of photos... After that, the Colour.. and dirt ;D
