Kesomir, thanks to defend the CRJ 3D on the .org. It is sad I cannot defend a product that is mine on the forums.. but anyway. Of course I understand people doubts about the CRJ. I did it the best it could be done, I hope is enought for people askings. About PilotView... Yes.. it has pre-defined views to be used with pilot view and simulate 2D views, to make 2D-flying-way-people confortable. But I trully believe that 3D is much much more better to have a strong feelling flying.. My supercomputer is on the info of the video. i7 2600K 8Gb ram and Nvidia 580. Not bad but it is cheaper than the imac that also I got from christmass present, and more powerful.

awake! Ok... not expect the CRJ product today... today is the day of the documentation, It is taking long to make a good webpage for it. Later it will be time for making the installer, that Cameron has been working parallel to webpage.. and there are still some bugs to solve. The CRJ is not a folder inside /aircraft/ only. Not at all.. There are several folders outside and windows C++ programs to install to make the plugin work on windows.. and QT libraries on Mac... The product uncompressed it is 461 Mb. So not easy one.

I would never exceed the 1700 on this plane.. with some front wind we can have very important problems. you know.. CRegionalJ haha. no CIJ (International)
-
I don't know how that can be done.. I mean... fly for example from Toronto to Europe.. here: http://www.crj.bombardier.com/CRJ/en/range.jsp?langId=en&crjId=200 from Toronto seems that the CRJ cannot cross the ocean. Maybe flying over groendland then iceland.. then europe... But how they do deliver the planes to european countries or Japan? Don't know... well.. of course those ranges are with people inside. Maybe no passengers or weight can make it Canada - Iceland - Europe.

http://www.crj.bombardier.com/CRJ/en/specifications.jsp?langId=en&crjId=200 this is the LR version, see the SM 1956nm.... Noooovaaaa!!!! noooovaaa!! 2 years stuying this plane!! (other thing is have same numbers than the real one. I have tried but never I would have those same numbers.. but close to them, yes).
-
I made testings of the plane and taking off from sea level.. to 34,000 feet.. and maintaining for all flight that altitude the plane reached 1950 nM. with 50 pax... that is close to the 1700 max range of the plane.. but you must know that those 1700 are safe one with 100nm reserve... so 1800 nm. If you descent from 35,000 feet to 5000 and maintain that altitude for maybe 50nm then the fuel flow is higher so it can be perfectly match those 1800 max range. But there are so many variables around.....

between today and tomorrow you will see the documents online for download. It is Cameron work.. but he is soon to complete the website.
-
You will see how download on the Tuturial documentation (I hope today released... the docs only!!) Instructions are there to make the tutorial with the CRJ.
-
And with Mac you will have some extra frames compared with Windows version.
-
Ok... only 1 little thing more and we are done.... Manuals 1.0 versions ended (soon you can download for free) Main Manual (151 pages) Tutorial (54 pages) PilotHandbook (25 pages)

Oh my god, I go to sleep and a full fight comes online!! MY POPCORNS!!! WHERE ARE THEY??? Anyway... I HOPE the CRJ won't have any problem in release. There were a lot of delay making it.. don't want any more... PLEEEAAAASEEEEE!!! What I wanted to say posting the work done with the manuals are two things: 1. the close I am to finish the product. 2. This is a new step on X-Plane. That means good things and bad things. * Good? Systems never seen on x-plane before on the same package (I know that there are plugins that you can join together and make all work like the real one. But this is a project made with love. Where I have fight to put all together the most systems possible. Included the FMS. A FMS inside, like the planes inside FSX. I have put all my tricks together in this plane. All my learning. This is my best plane ever, even if it was started as my second one. * Bad? You know Plane maker let you use 20 misc objects? I USED ALL IN THIS PLANE!!! Usually I only use 10 or so.. this time the 20.. and even I have to make a trick to put 21 objects instead of 20. And we have a system with OpenGl displays with full of motion etc etc... What does it mean? that the computer you have that had 40 frames on default planes and even on some payware maybe on this you will have 20-35. Dualcores have a big impact on loadworkflow. I have a dual core and the CRJ is running at 24-35 frames or so... at high of course (if I put less graphics options I have more). THIS IS ON WINDOWS SYSTEMS.. MAC AND LINUX GOES BETTER. BUT if you have an i7 core then you could have 80-100 frames as in my other computer with all in high. If you have a quadcore with a good graphic card then you will be ok. So Do you want systems?.. ok.. that means heavy workflow on the computer and heat (prepare your cpu fans! on my imac dualcore windows 7 bootcamp I have 73ºC, but has been with the plane with 8 hours and no problem at all). And not as good FPS as before if you have a dualcore ON WINDOWS!!!! (MAC and linux great!) (BUT ALWAYS MORE THAN FSX BIG ADDOMS!!) Do you have your computer ready?

No, and not pretend to. Never did. to make something certified, or you pay a lot of money, or you have a big team with a big budget. I never had nothing of that. This plane is my vision of the real one. Not the real one. I only want people enjoy my planes. Don't care too much if it don't fly as the real. Only I care to be close to the real. So those who look for the exact simulation as the real crj won't like it. But others that they want to FEEL as flying an small airliner they will love it. For those people is made the crj. Not for real pilots of the crj that want simulate procedures. A real sim of the plane would cost more than what is going to cost. And no, I believe Pmdg are neither real simulators. They are the best in systems but still are playing on Fsx..... Enjoy our Crj and don't ask if the real I'd the same. Some will be near. Others we will be so far away.

fighting against manuals!! my eyes are dying!! CRJ200 Manual 150 pages DONE! CRJ200 pilot handbook 25 pages DONE! CRJ200 Tutorial 15 pages and still the engines are off WORKING AND DYING!! MY EYES!!

I don't want to play anymore wars around. I always want to see future not pass. I didn´t like at all what I had on the .org.. but I want to look future. Waste time on pass don't let me work for x-plane future projets. Of course I wish I could return to the .org forum one day.. not so much things I have to say there.. Only announce my products and defend them. Nicolas or not Nicolas I forgot a long time ago.

About the sounds... I have been playing a lot with the default ones... The plane has real ones because they were recored form Cameron and also from pilots that gave me for free. But still are default ones.. so the caution and warning are not making any sound, if there is a fire on one engine you will see the lights but not the sound.. and is a shame.. but hope the new programming will change that. I want this plane to be better and better... but the only thing I can promisse is the 1.0 version. It has been very hard reach that stage. BUT... with the default sounds.. I would say that the starting engines are soooo great (they have a moment of silent there that I will try to make them better.) and the roll over the runway is AMAZING!! ... Well you will hear it and you can say your own opinion.

Well I have made testings of the CRJ in different computers and their performance flying are this more or less: top settings: Imac Bootcamp Dualcore i3 3.20Ghz ATI 5670 512Mb windows 7 64bits 4gb ram: 23-35fps Imac MacOss Dualcore i3 3.20Ghz ATI 5670 512Mb : 30-45fps PC Q6600 @3.40ghz 8gb ram Nvidia 285 windows 7 64: 27-35fps I7 2600K @4.6ghz 8gb ram Nvidia 580 windows 7 64bits: 70-80fps I also put on a very bad laptop 2.2ghz dual core with a nvidia for laptop... and I had 22frames on LOWI without normal maps and high textures... with your computer you can fly it... but is not the desired configuration. The screens on this plane eats lots of frames... and the big thing is you have more frames on MAC and Linux than on windows... Philipp was investigating about why is that but still he didn't find why. Hope we can find the solution to have more fps on windows. But if you don't put the higher configuration then you will have good frames.. and won't loose too much quality inside.

What I am going to do after this is take some days of vacations FOR SURE!!! Still the CRJ hasn't come out and you are thinking about the 320.. hahaha.. relaaaax!!!
-
Ok.... the CRJ completed successfully its tutorial flight and I toke lots of photos to explain how fly this plane from LESA to LEVC... The plane is finished and the only thing needed is authorization from Navigraph, do this tutorial file.. and Cameron make the installer (he already has the plane)... sooooo... hope very soon you can fly this baby.. see ya!! I am going to relax a bit because it is being too hard finish the plane...
-
no no.. For sure it is not difficult. You only have to have an eye on the ASI tape and another on the thrust.. that is all...
-
Why the "horror"??? :o Maybe I didn't understand that "horror" well because my english, but I would say THE MIRACLE!!! Do you know what is to have the sensation you are FLYING the plane? That you have to take care of it? Do you know how many times I almost were stalling because didn't pay attention to the throttle... or that I almost overspeed? this CRJ HAS AN SPEED MODE where the plane follows the speed that you set on the autopilot command panel... BUT it is only a vertical mode. That means.. that the plane will follow the speed you set but PITCHING more or less the plane to reach that speed. That means.. you can stall if you set a wrong configuration. Look.. the CRJ is almost the same like the ATR-500. Have you flought the ATR-500 from flight1 in fs9? The same way is the CRJ... and I had the most fun flying times with the ATR.. and that is why I chosed the CRJ.. because is not a "oh I press this button and the plane fly alone for me!!!!" I understand that a plane on real life has to have automatic systems.. like fly by wire, autothrust... but I still don't see it clear what is FUN to have those systems on simulated planes. On real life you have to take care of possible failures. On simulated planes in almost all planes (only a few) they don't have a maintenance programm so they won't never fail in flight unless you programm that failure... The CRJ have the Vnav and speed restrictions loaded on the LEGs Page on STARs.. but it doesn't have a "you have to go -3xxx fpm to reach that altitude you want" That will be on future updates, and I think it will be very easy to do. For now I use the formula: 1. 3 times the altitude I have to descent for starting my descent. 2. Ground speed / 2 the vertical speed I must set to reach that altitude on time... and it works! But "horror"? I believe that I preffer to leave my popcorn bucket and the coke away.. and put a hand over the throttle to control the speed and the other on the yoke. Once you know how to fly it better.. on cruise, you can distract something with the landscape... but first you have to Take-off MANUALLY, control speed MANUALLY, descent MANUALLY and land MANUALLY. If you want to do fully AUTOMATICALLY and just speak with your wife or be with your children while flying.. or just make a long haul flight while you sleep.. then... THIS IS NOT YOUR PLANE!!! (I am not saying you Dhruv just anyone...)

I asked them at the beginning, but I didn't have any reply from them. All the references on the manual has the copyrights to canadair.. I hope there wouln't be any problem but if so.. then this plane would be the JRJ-200. But usually there is no problem in this becuase as an artist If I make for example a picture of CocaCola and sell it there won't be any problem becasue I am selling my vision of the mark. Even if I do a photo. Well I am not very strong in laws but I heart that when I started in this. Other thing is I would like to "certificate" the plane... then I think I should pay and pass the tests from them... but remember that this is not like the real plane. The systems don't work "the same" are imitation and the behaviour would never be the same like the real one on a 29$ simulator. Anyway.. I always have believed that is someone what to f--k you then he can. But I believe the money Bombardier receives from selling real planes are enough to not fight for the little money that this plane would make. Anyway as said.. I asked the veryfirst day and didn't receive any news from them... then until today. But if I had to pay royalties to somebody then I would never release this plane.

I want to make it clear from the begining.. The plane has a lot of systems of the CRJ but not all. From the real FMS on this first 1.0 version we haven't made the vertical prediction (so no point of descent) and fuel calculation. Neither perf init. we have made: routes, Sid, STAR, change point in flight, save them, holding patterns, Legs page modification in flight, thrust limit, IRS Align process, radio autotuning and other minor systems inside the FMS. You all will be able to see what is simulated and what is not on the manual I want to release for free.. To let see everyone what is on and what is not. Of course we plan to make those missing systems on future updates.. and who knows before releasing it if they are easy to make..... I would say that 85-90% of the systems of the plane are simulated (not fuse shortcircuit) But the CRJ as other planes I release is a living project.

Obviously... ;D Folks, besides congratulating Javier and me, there is another person who we all owe respect for supporting our work: Alex Wemmer, programmer of vasFMC. The CRJ-200 is the first aircraft powered by a new incarnation of vasFMC, what I call the "embedded" vasFMC. It combines the power and stability of the well-known vasFMC standalone program with an all new interface designed to run absolutely seamless inside X-Plane. Philipp That is true, not only because him also, but, Anton first work and the support of all the people behind on this forum, the spanish one also and Cameron, Ben Rusell, Supnik and Austin. But the plane is still not released and I am going to push to release before 30 days. Ahhhh another good news.... The Cockpit of 747 with all the systems that I could achieve is very soon ended for the next xp10
-
Yes. As you all may know, once Anton stopped working on the project, 1 week later or so after announcing the cancelling Philipp Münzel wrote me and he decided to join the project. It has been since January a continous work from him and must say that has been an impressive workflow. He pushed the project from a clear death end to what it is right now. So I was very lucky finding Philipps. I must say that with Anton first and Philipps later they both are making the project a reality. About release date.. still documentation is needed to completed. I want to make two tutorials and a video (don't worry the video is fast).. and this is a release candidate 1. That means if those things are done.. the plane could be released today (if we wouldn't find any bug... but still has to be done those things.. and the installer.. Because believe me when I say this baby is a heavy one. Also the package from Navigraph (the free one) that we must receive from them... So.. don't eat your fingertips!! still some time to do... from here to a month maybe?
