Well.. not beeing a good pilot.. and still learning.. what I usually do is take experience from the plane. Make my numbers and try to have a "formula" Not always you burn the same ammount of fuel. Depends in temperature, winds, weight.. etc. But I choose the altitude normally by the winds in altitude. Maybe it takes more fuel to reach "that" altitude but if the wings are more tail winds strongs than other lower.. then I preffer to waste that extra fuel to preserve over the trip.. if the trip is long enough of course.

Can't change the VS or Heading in the CRJ
Japo32 replied to HeartofDavid's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
Hello. I am seeing your post in 2 places. Here and the ORG. If you bought the plane in the ORG then the support will be there, if it was bought in x-aviation then it will be here. Philipp already answered you in the ORG, but please stay in the right place where you bought the plane. Both are the same plane but different installation configuration. Thanks. -
Bud did you try to activate it with the tail of the mouse arrow? Anyway.. if that is due to X-Plane 10, then please send an email to Ben Supnik here: bsupnik@xsquawkbox.net he is the graphics programmer in x-plane10. Tell him that you have the problem with the plugin to activate it in xplane10.. BUT tell him that you cannot check the box in plugins menu as you could do it before in xplane10. I think is a problem of xplane10. I cannot try now, because I don't have installed the mac version...

As I can see you have a Mac computer. Since I created the plugin for the mentor (I am not a programmer but know a little of c++) it always had the problem to load the plugin loading the plane. I haven't found the solution to do it automatically but there is a trick to do it manually. Here is what you need to do: Note for mac users of the Mentor: Sometimes the plugin loads but not activate. To do activation of it you have to go to plugins menu on the most top right part of menu of x-plane and inside enable/disable you will find the Mentor plugin not been selected if plugin is not activated. You have to click it to activate but is a bit tricky marking it. You have to press several times to area to make it possible. Even with the tail of the mouse arrow. When I find the way to activate automatically I will post a update. But this is only an issue inside Mac. The windows or Linux version don't have this problem. The plugin affects the radios and the control of the rain in the canopy.. as well as the switch off of the landing lights when landing gear doors are closed.

Inicialización problema después de la actualización NAVDATA
Japo32 replied to Luca Pierino's topic in Soporte técnico
Hola. Gracias -
Hello pilots! The new upcomming X-Plane 10.10 version is comming soon! Maybe you are one old x-plane user and know the procedures how to update, but for those that never did it, I would say that these steps are really really interesting you should do, and even I would say you "MUST" do. Once a new beta (or final) version of x-plane has come out (10.10, or whatever other version).... 1. Copy the whole directory you have installed X-Plane (9, 10.. or whatever version). That version you are playing perfectly, good, your CRJ200 or any other addom you have. If your x-plane version is too heavy because addoms, or you installed a good part of the world, don't select those addoms in the copy, and in Global Scenery folder deselect to copy the Global Scenery/X-Plane 10 Global Scenery. Even you have water in the new version we want to test our planes in new version.... 2. paste in other part of your computer and call it as the new beta (or final) version number it has. 3. Grab the X-Plane updater and POINT TO THE NEW COPY of X-Plane, so the new copy will be the updated one. 4. Try all you can try the new version. If you have any problem report in the forum... BUT at least.. you will have still the plane perfectly and good flying in the old version. If you don't do these steps and anything changed in the new version of X-Plane that make something wrong with your addom (CRJ200, Mentor, etc...) then you won't be able to fly or use those addoms until the problem are fixed maybe by Laminar. Believe me, this has happened before, and you wouldn't like to wait to fly your favorite addoms because you cannot go one step backwards. Thanks.

In rendering options say that runway don't follow terrain contourn.

Please donwload the updated tutorial pdf from Aerosoft crj200 aerosoft page. There is the new link of the Valencia airport. The Salamanca one is in my page: www.jrollon.com

As said in the page 27 of the manual: "the maximum altitude for main engine starting using APU bleed air is 13,000 feet" So it is normal you could only start the engines once you reached the 10,000 feet. The way you did it was correct, but you should also press the Fuel pump option. The CRJ emergency procedures are in the FCOM manuals, but I cannot provide them. I think is easy to find them in internet (at least the FCOM vol1)

Efectivamente, para poder ver la ruta en el MFD tienes que programar el aeropuerto de origen. Es decir la pista desde la que vas a tomar despegue. Si no tiene SID, tiene que ingresar dicho número de la pista a despegar.

Ufff I had to say no to several works, because I am totally full. I would say that until September-October I have not a free moment. Textures? The clue is shadows and lights. Always shadows and lights.. and give a little of noise to the plain colour.

Well.. Just finished texturing of the 3D cockpit. Still lot to do is needed. No animation done and the cabin is there to still finish it. But I am near what I search graphically with this plane. These are screen captures from the 3D program but that way is how are going to be seen (and even better) inside x-plane 9 and 10.

If you mean the way the FMS process the Navigraph data to input the points with its altitude restrictions, then Philipp will answer this one.. BUT if you are saying the plane is not following the altitude restrictions, this plane has not VNAV autopilot, so you have to fly it manually. Only those Altitudes restrictions that are shown in the FMS when importing a SID or STAR are for informative pilot eyes only. The pilot is the one that has to guide the plane through them.

JimC... if you bought the plane in other place than X-Aviation the activation process is different. Please take a look here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=56957 to solve the problem activating it. X-Aviation has other way of activating the plane automatically. Thanks.

Go to thecrj200 aerosoft page and download the corrected tutorial manual. It is at thebottom. some numbers are corrected

Because to use that function then we would have to delete parts of the MFD that are already programmed.

Setting star in FMC causes weird display issues in Xplane
Japo32 replied to Emalice's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
About the oscilations of the plane there is a post where it says how to solve it. first try deleting preferences.. if the problem persist, then read this: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/topic/3106-progressive-pitch-oscillations-in-cruise-with-ap-on/ -
Philipp will take a look. He is the magician of programming and Linux.

contanted Philiipp.. Lets see what he has to say. -
I think I have the same imac you have... but more CPU GHz. Normally it is better if you run it with 3 ghz or more. Mine is an i3.. but 3.2ghz and goes well. About graphics that don't have to be anything with the CPU. You have to set the texture resolution to "Extreme resolution" or something like that (right now I don't remember it).. the most top resolution of textures in rendering options.. that will display the textures in its proper resolution. Other option what it does is reduce it. And also use Pixel shader option to permit Normal mapping and specular mapping. You have to see if your computer is good enought to handle it. I recomend if it cannot, to turn off the HDR mode in rendering options. Byt the way.. this is not the proper area to post a support request. It is in the support area. I saw your question because it was the last post.. if not I would never see it.

3500€ More or less.. yes.. But it is for always. I can use it for always in business... and it is really good. Yes. I have been using when I was in companies for more than 10 years.

3DStudio Max 2011. Good money was spent there!!! fiuuu!!! too much! In a iMac but with windows 7 64bits working and 8gb upgraded. Here there is an screen of 3Dstudio max realtime model. Now I have finally managed to bake the illumination of the 3DCockpit. It was again a nightmare to unwrap all the pieces to match correctly. You can see artifacts but I correct them later. Now color and later dirt.

In this plane anything that is programmed system won't be included. Only mabye little programmed instruments.. but not big as an FMC or real garmin. Sorry my programming skills are not so good to do them. But I think it would be possible to use the garmin RPX plugin to use the real one.. If I have contact from the author of RPX I will include in it.
