Could sombody help explain the ias on the Saab 340a? My understanding is on the autopilot the ias button activates a "speed control" to keep the aircraft at a constant speed, set by the pilot. On th 340a it seems only to work when changing altitude, not in leval flight. Maybe its my misunderstanding of the role of ias on the autopilot, or have i got a problem of some sort? Apart from this nice plane fun to fly. Bob
