  1. Cameron,

Answers to 1 & 2- Ok thank you. I am one to say that it was most likely me.

But for answer to 3- Im not sure if this would be the reason- This has happened to me in the past and for this specific situation i did not inform you that i had went back into the pilot hand book and calculated the Thrust Limits myself by the time of reaching the runway. The T/O Thrust and Climb Thrusts. Before landing I had input the G/A thrust so it could not have been the 0.0 holding it back. Do not worry about this. I will redo a flight soon and look for more details if it happens again.

With the HDR reflective surfaces- You should know that when i turn HDR "ON" in XP10- everything looks GREAT and back the way it did in XP9. The problem with me is that i only get 13FPS with HDR on at all so this is something that i can't do lol.

I thank you for your time dedicated to this issue for me.

  2. ATTENTION MEMBERS: I wish for all members that have ANY development knowledge and experience to come forth now. The ALSG freeware development group is in need of ANY developers out there.

If they do not get the support they will sadly have to shut down. I personally am enjoying the BETA versions of the KLAX scenery and love what i see in the other airports.

Please contact me or Peter Tram for more info! http://alsgxplane.fav.cc/

  3. I understand that you are working on these issues and are waiting for 10.10r1 to come out but i figured i would give you my SITREP so that you can get the most out of the next update.

In addition to the problems listed here: http://forums.x-pilo...-1010b1-issues/

    1) I have noticed that the SPEED mode does not engage correctly for CLB or DES time. Nor will it just dial to display a desired speed. It will automatically go right back to 0.

    2) The THRUST LIMITS are not calculated. They all read 0.0

    3) Once I landed and held short of the next runway- i tried to throttle up a bit to continue taxi but the EGT and all gages just stayed in place it seemed. If you leave it fully advanced you will see them spool up ever so slowly. Needless to say i had to disconnect and shut down engines there on the taxiway. :)

-Note: i have not been messing with XP10 until version .10b1 came out. It has been too unstable so forgive me for the NEW XP10 ignorance.

Personal problem- Why does it look so different in XP10. I liked 9 better:

In XP V9.7 i get this dark, crisp look:

    7580604316_4d91e40640_z.jpg

In XP V10 I get this gray generic look:

    7580577012_1032a3f524_z.jpg

Here are my settings for 10: (if i turn HDR on then it comes back the way XP9 presents but then i get 13FPS so i cannot do that)

Thanks for your time and thoughts on the matter.

  4. I am VERY happy with it the way it is but if i HAD a choice out of the things the CRJ does not simulate right now:

I personally would like to see

    -TCAS opeation

-a T/D calculator (with consideration to Altitude Constraints in STARs)

    -TOGA functionality

-emergency operation like ADG (also not a MUST but would be cool)

    -Cabin Pressurization system

    -Fuel Economy and monitoring systems

-Automatic Fuel pump activation upon low fuel pressure in fuel lines

-Bright/Dim Switch on EICAS Test Panel

-Transponder "IDENT" functionality. (thought i have not tested this on VATSIM with the CRJ2)

-EICAS CONTROL PANEL: Flight controls and Anti-Ice pages. The rest are not necessary in flight simulation

-Integral Lighting Control and flood lights for cockpit

    -Landing Gear Manual Release

-Plug-in that allows a different way of controlling buttons. The Click and Drag across the screen is the most annoying thing about it (especially if you are poor and can't afford TRACKIR and then you enter 3D mode and then your screen jerks after releasing the drag lol)

But i don't expect to see these soon really. I can do without most of this. The buttons plug-in needs to come ASAP but i don't think Javier has any desire to change it now.

  5. I am sorry, but what aerosoft tutorial? where can i get it?

I have been having the SAME issue with the MAC% calculations since day one.

I do understand that the CRJ-200 model in XP does not correspond but if you look at the calculation table just by itself- it does not add up correctly.

I too would like to get it down right :D

  6. The interaction with xp10 works quite well, xsb weather is displayed on the panels and other planes show up there, too.

Both are not visible in the crj. Especially other planes would be nice to see to be able to avoid mid-air collisions on busy days.

It is listed on pages 67 of the CRJ-200 manual (provided in the aircraft folder) that TCAS is not a working item yet in the CRJ-200 model. Weather will display on the MFD but you must use the CDU menu to select it to display. I hope this helps.

  7. It lives behind this KEY on the CDU post-7830-0-00277100-1335724164.gif,

it unlocks the following functions. plus alot of other clever stuff :o

Unfortunately, at the moment the VNAV key is not enabled yet in the JRollon CRJ

    (see Javier's excellent CRJ200_Manual_1.1.0.pdf & CRJ200_Tutorial_1.1.0.pdf)

update: Just figured out what that magenta "arc" is for!!

The current JRollon CRJ-200 does have a similar capability. Say you have to decend, and be at a FIX e.g. PIERS at 8800ft ALT. (see pics below) It's a magenta line or arc that moves down towards the aircraft in MFD, its an indication of where the CRJ will be in terms of ALT selected if you maintain your current decent rate (eg -400 fpm), and it works very well. despite my poor flying, (see below). "I'd been wondering what that magenta arc had been doing for some time!.

Yes i understand how the Magenta Arc works... It is a common tool used in many MFD but that is an "immediate" planning tool. which i LOVE but i still like to pretty much know my T/D before i even start up my computer and load x-plane. It is just the way i like to do things. "know my EVERY move before i even step into the plan".

post-7830-0-20725500-1335724206_thumb.gi Unfortunately, at the moment the VNAV key & functionality is not enabled yet in the JRollon CRJ

Oh i understand now. Thank you! :D i hope this becomes a function here soon... it would be NICE :D lol

  9. I love this aircraft and i LOVE the old fashioned way of doing things.... "yourself" lol.

But i have found that using the basic formula provided in the tutorial... i always end up about 1,000ft above where i want to be during descent.

For the tutorial... the waypoint was a FLY AT OR ABOVE i believe so it was ok but there are MANY way points that are stickily FLY AT.

Is there another formula that is a bit more accurate that anyone knows of?...

  10. To Whom It May Concern,

I have dedicated my simulation time to the FULL understanding of 3 complex aircraft on X-Plane:

    -JROLLON CRJ2

    -PETER HAGER A388

    -EADT B738 "x737"

I have now made a in-depth checklist for EACH.

The first one i started was the x737. With the help of a friend, I have turned this into an interactive web-based checklist (beta) online and can be found here: http://gabemcclellan...list/index.html

I now have the approval of the EADT for the use of this. I also now have all other developers working to improve this checklist system for a ONE-STOP-SHOP for flight planning, fuel planning, Ref speeds and MUCH more. (look at the top subject- http://eadt.eu/ )

I wish to do the same for the JROLLON CRJ2 and now requesting proper permissions from the owner... Javier Rollon and his Development Team.

First I wish for Qualified Personnel (meaning: a REAL CRJ2 pilot and those who developed the JROLLON CRJ2) to give my Draft a test run or two and give me notes on corrections that must be made before publishing. (it will not allow me to attach my draft here- it is a .ods file- so please contact me on the provided email for me to send the attachment)

  11. Just ignore them.

I don't need them, because I get the procedures from the LevelD_Proc folder.

So whether the SID STAR folders are there or not, we don't care.

The reason they are in the Navigraph download is so that Navigraph can use the same file format for vasFMC as for the CRJ, and they don't have to make yet another download package for it. vasFMC probably needs some of those files. We don't.

    Ok, great! thank you! :D

  12. Hello,

I have been updating the JROLLON CRJ navdata for a long time via the NAVIGRAPH website.

For the past couple of months they have been putting a SID and STAR folder in the download folder....

I never transfer those folders over because the same information is in the LevelD_Proc folder.

It has been working just fine but they have responded to my inquiry about it here: http://forum.navigraph.com/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=3239

And then told me to contact you about it to find out what i should do. Is there anything i can do more with these folders?
