A rudder does not steer a Cirrus on the ground. They use a caster wheel system, which means your left and right breaks are used for turning.

Are you planning something like a toggle switch in the settings for those using joystick twist stick and no rudder pedals? Or could you plan it? :D

Right now I'm using a third party differential braking lua bound to keyboard keys, but it's extremely annoying.

'N' toggle nosewheel steering doesn't do anything at all

    Hello :)
It would be nice if there was a "castor/free castor" option for the front gear in the aircarft options windows.

In the real life, it's easy to steer a plane with a free castor front gear. However  in X-Plane the wheel brakes management is difficult to use, even with a rudder pedals having toe brakes. They react practically as on or off. It's very difficult to steer on the grouns at low speed. It's more difficult if there's a crosswind.

A free castor option would be a good idea.

I would agree if possible, especially for those of us that don't have rudder pedals. For example I use a joystick swivel stick, and taxi-ing is a bit of a nightmare right now. It's not realistic, true, but would definitely help.

I opened the zip file on a computer where I was prepared to take the risk of malicious code, opened the zip file, deleted the linux installer,
zipped the file to utility and moved the zip file to the gaming computer, opened and installed without any problem with the virus protection

That worked, thank you so much!

Yes you are absolutely right that you are not responsible for all problems, but you can easily avoid becoming a cause of problems by realizing that many users do not know the difference between a real threat and a false alarm.
myself, I solved this by excluding the linux installer and then moving the directory into my gaming computer.
You could have easily created a separate zip file for those users using linux ...

Hey can I ask, how did you do that? Sorry, I know nothing about this stuff.

Also good for the devs to know that people who dropped 65 bucks on their product are not necessarily the most tech savvy people, nor is it a requirement to be.

I hope someone in this thread can help you with alternatives. I do not use it so I'm not privy to the options you have.

What if I install on local PC and then transfer the files to shadow? Or would I have issues with activation then? By on my shadow, the previous version is already activated.

Please post your entire log file. Do you have any kind of AI traffic running?

No, none at all. The only AI traffic I use is VATSIM via XSquawkbox, and I wasn't even connected yesterday.

For the log file, I will have to somehow replicate the error again and post it, as for some reason I didn't save it. But having gone through it myself, I can say there were no other errors/warnings, except a parse error with the bluebell CSL packages.

  7. I'm getting random CTDs on the TBM. I can't seem to replicate it whatever I do, it just seems completely random. My log.txt shows the following message: Something reinstalled our exception handler, replaced it with 0000000000000000.

I saw an old thread where the consensus seemed to link it with Active Sky and/or XEnviro, but I can confirm I have neither of the two, nor any weather plugins at all. I just use default X-plane weather.

The sound seems to cut out for a couple of seconds, and then CTD. Unlike other CTDs, the software does not ask me to send a message back to laminar.

Can anyone help/point me in the right direction to how I may fix this?
