Hi everyone, I've just recently got X-Plane 9. I've always been a user of Microsoft Flight Simulator, so X-Plane is completely new to me. When installing X-Plane on my laptop, I simply selected 4 squares of surface texture, which covers the Florida/Georgia/Alabama area. The installation process used disks 1 through 3, and for the most part, the program starts up nicely. However, the scenery is very glitchy. Below are some screenshots which show my problem. http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/8979/glitch1oy.jpg http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5923/glitch2w.jpg http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/9531/glitch3.jpg Essentially, the surface textures flicker between open sky, ground, and water. What's weird is I sometimes see surface textures "below" the actual surface. So when I hit the ground, it looks like the ground is like 5000 feet below me. Does this have to do with my laptop's drivers? I have an HP Pavilion with Windows Vista and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics. As far as I know, it should support OpenGL, right? Also, I've done several re-installations, and I still encounter the same problem. Thanks for the help!
