  1. Well you are all absolutely correct. At first I found it impossible to replicate but just now I was messing around in the T34c [in 3D] and it happened again. It was a lot of fun having the developer's permission to smash-up his aircraft though! I suppose we'll just have to wait for Austin to pull his f****** finger out with XP10 [where there's bound to be a whole load of new bugs]. Arno, you could give him a phone call and offer to help if he's having so much trouble getting it out! So, thanks everyone, and to you Arno, problem RESOLVED [i'm just hoping I'm able to install the update- I'm hopeless at all that fiddly stuff].

  2. Hi K+A,This might be just me as no one else has reported, but when I crash in the sea, the screen goes black and I have to shut-down/restart the computer. If I go back to XPlane after this it opens up with the plane I had loaded before the T28, as if the flight with the T28 hadn't happened. I am absolutely loving this plane; the instructor modes were a brilliant idea and have added a new dimension to the Sim. I do hope that lots of other people purchase the T28 not just because they would otherwise miss out on a cracker, but also to motivate you to greater innovations. I don't really follow all the forums; can you tell me what you're working on now for next releases? Oh. by the way, I'm using a 27" Mac with OSX 10.6.7. PLEASE make the instructions for installing the update simple because I'm useless with all that.........

  3. Thanks Cameron, Problem solved. I had in fact run the installer but specified "Gen Aviation" instead of "X-Plane". I had misunderstood the instruction -"Do not select an aircraft folder" to mean "Do not select T28c". What also threw me was the confirmation that "set-up has finished installing North American T28c on your computer"[it hadn't]. Nice thing now is that the weird pink lighting has vanished; it was a bit "red-light district Amsterdam"-eccentric even by Arno's standards. Anyway I've found the most convenient way to get rid of the engine overheating warnings is to ditch in the sea. I can see I'll have hours of fun with this one. Thank you again for the prompt response Cameron and for hosting Arno/Khamsin's work.

  4. Hi Arno,Great plane -thanks for this and all your work for X-Plane. My question is that when I load the T28 the Mode Menu doesn't appear. The loading process seems a little different from normal too. The file path is -Open Aircraft/ General Aviation/ T28c which then gives a choice DIST or SETUP OSX.APP. I click on DIST which gives me C400/GIZMO/GIZMOLIBRARYMAC/OAL/PTHREADS/SHRINKWRAP. I click on C400 which gives me T28c which gives me AIRFOILS/COCKPIT/LIVERIES/MANUAL/OBJECTS/SCRIPTS/SOUNDS/T28cloaded.acf/T28c.acf/WEAPONS. Clicking on either T28c loaded acf or T28c.acf loads the aircraft but the Mode Menu appears in neither. I'm not sure if its relevant but when I loaded the plane for the first time I wasn't asked for verification ie.E-Mail and Password which I was expecting......Also I should mention I'm using XPlane 9.62 on OSX 10.6.7. Please bare in mind with any reply that I'm a "computer incompetent". All the best and " Top o' the morning to you"!!!

  5. Javier....Thanks so much for responding. On your advice, I opened X-Plane, clicked Plugins/Plugin Admin/Enable-Disable but all I could see were the two plugins I use-Checklister and Pilotview; no sign of Mentor [ panic ! ]. However I couldn't resist a quick circuit and before closing-down thought I'd check the plugins again. There it was!!! Mentor so I clicked a few times to get the green tick to enable, checked the radios and yes they now tune. So yes it was a bit fiddly [especially for someone as inept with computers as me] but problem solved. Once again Javier thank you for the acf. and for your backup and patience.

  6. Hi Javier, I've just got round to updating the T34 which is easily my favourite acf. Unfortunately now I find that the manipulators do not change the numerals on the VOR and ADF radios -they worked correctly before the update. In the notes to the update you say that the radios can now be tuned "normally": I don't know what that means -when I click over the manipulators I get the circle arrows with + and -[ as before ] but when I drag, the manipulators move but the numbers don't change. This occurs on both the Lukasz and JRollon models and on my backup file. I'm using XP 9.62 on a Mac OSX 10.6.7. My order number is 3399. Javier this is a fantastic acf. and if you ever considered a further update my only suggestion would be that the engine noise gets louder when the canopy is open....enhorabuena! y no se ponga demasiado pepino con la hambuguesa.

  7. Could anyone give me "simple to understand" instructions on how to set up hotkeys for PilotView Plugin. I've set-up 8 fantastic views of the T34c Mentor, which has fast become my favourite, and it would be far more convenient to use my number keys 1234...78 than the control panel. I have honestly searched the threads on the ORG and Sandy's instructions but find no easily accessible instructions- I'm not a Techy Wizzkid. Using XP9.62 on an IMac. I'm posting here because it seems less intimidating than the Org- don"t bite my head off!
