  1. Thanks fletch, that worked great! I just blacked out the .png file, and the ghost images went away. Afterwards I was still able to adjust the gauge illumination in the cockpit and have it illuminate the instruments; not sure what the _LIT file is even used for, but it works great without it.
  2. I modified the 2-D cockpit view in plane maker, and moved some of my instruments around, and this worked well. Unfortunately, the instrument illumination didn't move with the instruments, and I am at a loss to figure out how to rectify this. Here is an image where you can see the problem: https://i.imgur.com/Ur5twrK.jpg As you can see, the instrument illumination stayed where the instruments were originally located, creating "ghost images" on the new cockpit. In PlaneMaker, I am given an error message of "missing _LIT overlay textures", if that helps. Any idea on how I can fix this (other than turning off the instrument illumination)?
  3. Well, I was planning to do that, until I looked at the cost of pedals and a flight yoke. I'm going to cook up my own yoke and use one of those BU0836A boards from Leo, then attach my old gameport CH pedals as the rudder (for now anyway, they aren't as fancy as the ones now, and only have a pot on each foot, basically they feel like toe brakes without the rudder). This way I can build something with a better "feel" at half the cost, and still have room for expansion/modification in the future.
  4. Thanks Swiss, you are correct that I not yet have my flight controllers; I thought that page would still be populated while I was able to use the mouse.
  5. Hello all, I am using a fresh install of the X-Plane 10 demo on Linux (Fedora20). Unfortunately, the "Axis" fields in the "Joystick and Equipment" dialog is empty. According to the wiki, it is supposed to be populated like this: http://wiki.x-plane.com/w/images/5/5b/Joystick_and_Equipment_dialog.png For me, however, it looks like this: http://www.4freeimagehost.com/uploads/ac8680836ae1.jpg Any ideas?
