Hi, I love the real weather in X-Plane 10, but my problem is how static the weather almost always is. Im not a real-life pilot so im curious of imputs from real pilots or someone who simply know more than me.
The wind is always constant at, for example, 10 knots, with no gust, shear or turbulence at all. The only variation come from the terrain, making the plane tip straight up or down, never sideways. Its hard to believe thats how real life is. At least some shear, gust or turbulence should appear even at little wind, i imagine. The only time i see those things appear is in very strong wind. And as i have other flight sims like AeroflyFS, i doubt how realistic the "real weather" wind in x-plane really is. AeroflyFS and other sims like dcs and il2 Stalingrad is my reference, and some youtube videos As i mentioned, im not a real pilot, so i appreciate your opinions. I dont have much knowledge of setting a realistic weather manually either, so thats why i like to use real weather and how the weather change from place to place.
Simply put: Does the x-plane real weather model the wind realistically? Thanks for any reply!
