I am a beginner and flying Boing 777 professional (not so easy for me). I have landed with ILS before and suceeded a several times, but no more. What am I doing wrong? Is it crucial to have the exact altitude when nearing the ILS "beam"? I understand that I must not have an higher altitude but can I go lower? As an example I want to fly to Hamburg (EDDH). At "OM23" my FMC says that I shall have an altitude of 1340 ft. Have I understand this correct? And what does 1340A mean?

Hallo, I am flying Boing 777 professional (I am a beginner and trying to learn). I have programmed the FMC from A to B. Then when I am in the air I must land elsewhere (it´s too foggy or I must do a forced landing). 1. How do I change the arrival airport in the FMC? 2. To make a forced landing perhaps I must descend quickly, then I get an overspeed warning. What is the dangers with that? Or shall I just ignore the warning and proceed?

Hallo, After I have managed to program the FMC in Boing 757 I want to try the FMC in Boing 777. See attached file. How can I set Inertial pos? In Boing 757 I had to switch the IRS MODE SEL to Align to make it work. Is it the same in 777 and if so where can I find it?

Hello, I was flying from Copenhagen to Hamburg today and programmed the STAR BOGM1A and runway 23 (suggested in EFASS) and got the following result (se picture). Why does the route continue after Rwy 23? I suceeded to land anyway but can anyone give me an answer?

I have searched Youtube, for example, ”FMC programming” or the like. Then I have asked members about specific problems I had. Many answers were not as detailed, and then I asked again. Some do not seem to understand how little one knows but uses abbreviations that I do not understand. Google can then be helpful. A great help has been EFASS, a program to plan your flight. Thank you to everyone who helped me with your advices how I can reach my goal: to program the FMC in Boing 757 and fly on autopilot from start to finish! From having had zero knowledge of how the FMC works, I have now succeeded. Very helpful has been the program "EFASS" as well as countless movies on youtube, and your advices. What I miss is that I would like to make contact with the tower in flight and get "clearance for landing." Is it possible to get ATC to operate in X-Plane 10? I have not succeeded in any case.

Hallo Flying Flightfactor Boing 757 in X-plane. To program the FMS is quite easy said someone in a forum. It is not easy if you have to read all the manuals in English, do not understand all the abbreviations and have little experience of flight. I have recently tried to program the FMS and then fly from start to finish. My ambition is to be able to program the FMS so that I can fly with autopilot and land using ILS. I use EFASS to plan my flight. I have a lot of problems. 1.After that I taken off and pressed the CMD the aircraft begins to climb and descend uncontrollably but after a while, the aircraft flies at the correct height. Why this? Which settings do you do on the MCP before take off? I also get the message: NOT ON INTERCEPT HEADING. According to the manual, this is because, "with the airline not on heading which intercepts the active leg, displays ”NOT ON INTERCEPT HEADING” into the CDU scratch pads". But what do you do about it? 2. I tried to program STAR but it all goes wrong. Receive a message ”Route discontinuity”. How do I fix it?

Hallo, I am not so clear about how to program the FMC with STAR. But I shall try it. I have tried to go from Heathrow airport (EGLL) to Paris (LFPG). After that I have programmed the FMC I get the message: "PERF/VNAV unavailabe". Why is that? I also have problem in the air when the autopilot disconnects. Has that to do with the VNAV? It is a little bit frustrating when there is so much you don´t understand.
