I cut off right fuel control in my Boing 777 to see what happens. But then I did not manage to start the engine again. How do I do that?

Hallo, The other day during flight with my Boing 777 I accidentally opened one of the doors (pressed SHIFT+F3 instead of SHIFT+3). I think then I passed out because the screen was completely black! IRL when the cabin pressure gets low for some reason the crew always manage to descend and then are able to land (at least in the movies). Any comments?

Hallo, Planned a trip from Kastrup (EKCH) to Arlanda (ESSA) today. Here is what I got in EFASS: KEMAX - N851 - TRS - M996 - ELTOK. STAR for ESSA was ELTO6M. But the result in my FMC (Boing 777) was very weird: I do not know what this ARL came from. The plane was unable to follow this route. Can anybody explain?

Hallo, For flightplanning I use a program called "EFASS". I tried to fly from Hamburg (EDDH) to Copenhagen (EKCH). The suggested STAR was MONA1M (see attached file). But in my FMC (for Boing 777) there was no STAR "MONA1M" or any other MONA. I have learned here in this forum that I shall choose a STAR connected with the last waypoint which is MONAK. I cannot change the route in "EFASS" at least which I know of. What shall I do?

Hallo, I have two questions: 1. If an airport only have one runway why is this numbered for example 34R (instead of 01R)? 2. When you are in the air and get the information on which runway you should land on, how do you choose which STAR you should use?

I've been watching a lot of movies on Youtube with the theme: Can an amateur land an airliner, or similar (highly unlikely). In the movies, it is predicted that the amateur can get detailed instructions how to do. The first problem I can think of that arises: how to get in touch with someone via the radio? How does he get the frequencies and how does he handles the radio? Then comes many other problems, for instance: the one he comes in contact with must be well wellinformed on just the type of the airplane the amateur sits in. Some comments?

I have Boing 777 Wordliner Professional and have found that there are different PDF:s. I dont like the one I have at all (first picture). I want a PFD like the one in the second picture. Is there a way to get this?

Hallo, I will send you some screenshots tomorrow. The plane did go north for quite a while (the airport was located to the south) and then I selected another airstrip. By the way, if I return soon after departure can I land with that heavý plane? Must I not dump the fuel or something?

I followed your advise above and suceeded in landing on an alternative airport. The problem is that I did not remember exactly how I did it. After choosing an alternative airport and clicked on it there was a choice to click on "DIVERT NOW" on my FMC. I chose the same airport which I had departed from. And my plane then seemed to go somwhere else. Only after I selected a different airstrip it did go well.

Hallo, This is the scenario: I am up in the air, all is set and suddenly one of the passangers get very sick (no doctor on board). I must find the nearest suitable airport quick. How do I do it? I can get information over the radio perhaps, but what do I do then? Can I somehow (re-)program the FMC?

Hallo, I finally suceeded! (thanks to your information)! It was no problems at all. One more question. How can I tune in the radio to listen to ATIS for example? I try to set a frequency of 121,62 but the only thing I can set is 121,65?

I will learn! Now I am planning to order a lesson in a real flightsimulator, Boing 737NG (it cost a lot but I think it´s worth it).

The Alt setting shows 29.92. This is news for me. How do you change that? If it is too complicated to explain - then I will try to find the answer in the manual!

P.S. The altimeter shows 3.020 ft.

Hallo, I flew from Kastrup (EKCH) to Hamburg (EDDH) and programmed the FMC accordingly. When I am about 8 NM from the airstrip (15) my cockpit looks like this: I was little off course when I made the screenshot but this will adjust later. But the ILS does not work! . The plane stayed on the same altitude. I hit APP when I reached DEVOD. I would be less nervous and enjoy the skies if I know how to land safely

Now I am getting somewhere! The aircraft descends as you said. But ... still no ILS landing. I hit the APP as you said when I saw the ILS markings but no reaction . It stayed on the altitude of 3.000 ft. It was cloudy and I did not see the runway otherwise I could have tried to land manually. I will try another route and see what happens. If one can fly completely automatically (but I like it) what shall a pilot do? Playing cards ?
