Hello Falcon, I consider myself new to XP also but I have a couple ideas to consider. I believe the XP10 manual states the orbit textures do not take effect until 100,000 ft ? If you havent, you may want to read the rendering options section as it has some good points to remember. When making changes to your rendering options. Some items require a complete restart of XP for the changes to take effect. Also, I have seen where a person was making changes to the rendering options but then would select the button on the bottom right that resets all rendering options to lower settings so the sim runs faster. They were selecting it out of habit and did not realize that all you should do is select the "X" at the top of the box or hit enter. I am assuming you have a computer that will run XP on higher settings. Jake
