I've noticed that when I am flying using NAV/VOR 1 selected I see a TTG countdown under the ET in the Upper Right corner of the EHSI. But when I select over to NAV/VOR 2 the TTG countdown disappears and the EHSI continues to display VOR1 (Upper Left) as primary Nav selection even though flight commands and course following are working with the Nav 2 Radio frequency selection. Is this normal operation?

Turns out it was my download. The file was corrupt and never truely downloaded the entire program.

Thanks for the prompt response. I didn't think it used the FMC, and I really haven't tried to use xFMC with it. After reading through the tutorial again I can see it is mainly VOR and NDB navigation. I will have to plan my trips slightly more in-depth based on utilization of VOR and NBD's for navigation. I do appreciate all your help and prompt replies to questions and concerns posted her.

So how does one select for FMS navigation, Nav L and R are for slaving the VOR or ADF. Is there a was to allow for addons like xFMC to control LNAV functions? Other x-plane aircraft have a selector switch that has three options, Nav 1, Nav 2 and GPS which allows for selection of the radios or GPS/FMC.

I am still a novice with regards to commanding the SAAB 340. I went on a flight and could not figure out how to get the aircraft into Nav mode. So I did a little reading in the Systems Manual provided with the aircraft. On page 202 of the systems manual it Identifies all the DCP knobs and their functions. While reading down under DTA (De-clutter Data) pushbutton it identifies and explains the Select, a Rotary Switch for selecting the navigation sources. I've looked all over on the DCP but can not figure out where the Select Rotary Switch is located. Can someone please tell me where this switch is located or how I go about selecting between the different navigation sources.

K Drive is where I download and save files. Maxx FX was downloaded there and extracted to it's own directory. My X-Plane resides on my L Drive. Is that where Maxx FX should be extracted to and run from there?

Downloaded Maxx FX last night and extracted it. When I tried to run set up I received a windows error (attached File). Says " Windows cannot access the specific device, path or file. You may not have appropriate permission to access this file" . Then the set up icon disappears. I extract the files again and tried to run as administrator and received the same error code. Any advice on how to proceed. I have a Windows 7 machine running 64 bit, with a GeForce GTX 650 Ti graphics card and an Intel I3 CPU with 8 GB of system memory.
I appreciate any help you can provide me.

Push back from gate?
in Saab 340A
Posted
Is there a way to pushback from gate with the SAAB 340. I have the capability with the 32 bit version of the game. But in 64 bit and with all the updates to the SAAB is there a plugin that works with this aircraft?
