I had a similar problem, or exactly the same, tested in two different Ubuntu 12.04 copies. I solved the problem by uninstalling the 64bit versión and running the installer of the CRJ: setup-linux.run. Try to do that; if everything goes well uninstall the CRJ again and run the 64bit installer. Now it should work.

For last days I have been trying to get rid of this error but I was unable, so today I installed a clean Ubuntu 12.04 in my pc (with the latest updates) and a clean X-Plane 10 but still no luck. I have tried again everything you said above, but no way. As far as I have checked, I have installed/checked all necessary libraries for the CRJ (never had problems with them after installing the aircraft, until now).

I had a similar problem just after updating to beta 9. After a few restarts/deleting old rendering settings the problem solved itself, but I don't know what caused this fps drop.

Still no luck. I can't remember at all but probably I did a system update at the same time. Just checked now if the plane loads in my 10.05 and it crashes also so... something is going wrong with my OS libraries for sure.

I did it but still crashes. It worked fine for me until beta 6.

Hello. I always get a CTD when I try to load the CRJ on beta 8. Is it just my problem or someone else has this problem too? I have already reported a crash report. Thanks.

Sí, nos está pasando, es un error de la beta 3, confirmado según ha dicho hace poco Philipp: Acabo de ver ahora mismo que han publicado la beta 4 y entre sus correcciones está: "Fixed cockpits going dark and camera angle moving at night." así que entiendo que lo han corregido. Ahora mismo voy a probarla.

Similar problem here too (Ubuntu), but only happens when time is in between sunset and sunrise. I also notice that the camera movement (in 3D cockpit, shift + 0) looks a bit weird when this problem happens. I cleared the preferences and the problen persists, so I will send a bug report too.
