loading times

x-plane is a little bit ridiculous when it comes to loading times 

 

whenever i make a flight to two custom sceneries the simulator has to stop mid flight to load the destination, i even bought one of the most expensive SSD on the market but the pauses are still there

 

why this loading is not made asynchronously ?

You might want to give us some insight on your System Specs, which Addons you're using and your X-Plane Graphic Settings. 
Would make it easier to point you in the right direction
 

Generally speaking, it doesn't help much spending a big coin on one piece of Hardware when the bottleneck is located somewhere else.

Just to give you my experience:

My system:

i7 4770K 3,5Ghz

GTX 980Ti 6BG Vram

512 SSD

16GB GDDR 3 Ram

 

and I never ever had a stop during flght so load a custom scenery! There is something wrong with your hardware. I experienced a big improvement in terms of loading times since I installed a SSD, especially when it comes to photoscenery loading (I do have whole germany, austria and sourrounding covered with it).

 

So check as XM 10922 already said where your bottleneck is.

Just in case. Have you tried a flight without any overclocking applied? I had once this issue with one of my overclocked systems.

So you do run pretty much the same hardware as I do. The nearest solution ist that there is anything wrong with your sim. Did you try to reinstall it and just run it simple and clean?
