FizzyAviation Posted April 23, 2016 Report Posted April 23, 2016 So I have a mac desktop and it can run planes like flight factor 777 but there are some planes it can't run. I was wondering would this run smoothly like 20-30fps on a Mac desktop? Quote
niftyneato Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 I'm flying right now on 2008 Mac Pro with a Nvidia GTX680 and it's been fine. I'm running full screen at 2560 x 1440 with the settings cranked up, HD mesh, complex airports, and I get 15 to 20 fps. Of course, that isn't ideal but it works, looks good and I get to fly big jets. The only location I find difficult to be in is JFK which really kills my frame rate. Haven't gone there yet with this plane. Quote
otto Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 Older mac pro works great for me: 2009 macpro 8G ram ATI Radeon HD 5870 (1G) 27" Apple Cinema Display Mavericks (won't run on snow leopard) FPS mid 20s to mid 30s. Quote
tbrams Posted April 25, 2016 Report Posted April 25, 2016 Also works flawlessly on a 2013 model iMac with NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics. ^_^ Quote
TDPlane Posted April 25, 2016 Report Posted April 25, 2016 FPS is just great on an iMac with 8GB and 27 inch from late 2012 early 2013. Quote
