SkyMaxx Pro v3 Backing Up Questions

Hiya's,

I got x-plane 10 via the web download not steam (if at all it's on steam) around christmas time

I've slowly been learning howto do the HD meshes and adding free scenery airports and alike

Now i'm addicted to x-plane and after watching so many great yt vids etc on what can be achieved with addons i had to upgrade main parts of my pc as i like eye-candy and hate jaggies

Well, i got a new motherboard/cpu/ram and holy smoke what a difference

I fought a losing battle with stabilty on my new setup, actually the motherboard was faulty and finally died very shortly after purchasing

After again rebuilding my pc and water loop i was set

As my fiancee likes watching most sims i play she noticed skymaxx mantioned numerous times and decided to get v3 as a little treat for me after a week of pure pc problems lol (bless her)

My first payware late march and only so far was SMP v3, amazing !! really looking forward to v3.1 and then thepayware weather plugin :-)

Now after downloading the SMP v3 file, it came in at 44.6mb rar file in my case, i saved it as-is across my hdd's as i only have one pc, i do this with all stuff that's important as in the past year or so i've lost four hdds i think its up to now :-( (out of warranty all so really can't complain as my pc used to be left on 24/7 benching (i overclock cpu/gpu's and used to edit bios settings)

So is this the 'backing up' process ?? or is it saving the 'silverlining' folder to safe hdd's the 'backing up' ?

As i used my slot allowance i'm awaiting a reply from x-aviation support, and don't want to lose my clouds again now the pc seems 100% stable again

Obviously i don't want to mess anything up and have to miss out on v3.1 and weather plugin

What i found with flywithlua and other items, i can copy/move those across my hdd's and if needed use them (as a noob, quite a few reinstalls of x-plane 10 have happened since xmas) hehe

And for a numpty on this security checking thing, when i get my slots back, can i drag my silverlining folder back or is a full install from my backedup initial SMP v3 downloaded rar required ?

To be blunt, is the silverlining needed in my plugins before i do a reinstall
