Newbie needs help with view

Hi,

 

Please can some kind soul assist me with a problem with my out-of-the- cockpit-view?

 

My view forward is just about in the correct place...horizon about 2/3 way up the monitor BUT

My side views are looking down. I can't even see the horizon.

 

What am I doing dumb?

Some planes that do not have a 3d cockpit have some funky side views. You can set your custom views by pressing ctrl+ any number you choose. For example, go into 3d cockpit mode to the location on the plane where you want the view to be. Press ctrl+5, and now every time you press the number 5 key, you'll see that view.
