madair Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Have installed a couple of airports from open scenery (including the open scenery library) and whilst they appear to work during the loading process there is an error message indicating that there is a problem. When reviewing log it suggests that there is an issue with the open scenery library/furniture/lights/flood.ob. I downloaded the Openscenery library again but it made no difference to the error message. I am new to x plane and would welcome advice please.Martin Quote
AngeloM Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Attach your log.txt so we can check it. Quote
AngeloM Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 As far I can see flood.obj is not a OSX object, nor I find it in all the libraries I have on my system.Unless someone know something more about that object I'd suggest to contact the developer of EGBJ... by the way, where's that scenery? madair Posted December 23, 2014 Author Report Posted December 23, 2014 (edited) Many thanks for response. EGBJ is Gloucester. I've flown into there quite a few times particularly when learning to fly for real. I also installed London City (EGLC) and get the same error message. At the moment I'm just experimenting with X plane having bought a couple of aircraft addons. It's really about getting to know how everything works. I have invested heavily in MSFS mainly FSX but feel the wind of change. Martin Madden Edited December 23, 2014 by madair Quote
AngeloM Posted December 23, 2014 Report Posted December 23, 2014 Sorry for the misunderstanding, yes I know that's Gloucester I was only wondering where did you found it in order to get it and try it. Quote
madair Posted December 23, 2014 Author Report Posted December 23, 2014 Simheaven under their list of airports Quote
AngeloM Posted December 23, 2014 Report Posted December 23, 2014 Ok, found it: I see a old comment (more than a year ago) about the same problem, and I see that this scenery is pretty old (2010) so maybe it's using an object that is no longer included in OSX.You could try this and/or this. Quote
madair Posted December 24, 2014 Author Report Posted December 24, 2014 Great. Thanks a lot. I will have a look and see what can be achieved. The main thing at the moment is to get to understand how custom scenery and its associated bits all work. I'm making progress. Happy ChristmasMartin Quote
