Ryan M. Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 How does one hold the speed or get it to stay the same number for a large portion of thr flight? Because whenever I get over 300, the autopilot fails.-Ryan Quote
chris k Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 You shouldn't be anywhere near 300KIAS at 38000 feet. If so, your wings will probably rip off. Quote
jettojig Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 There's a tiny button labelled "Mach" near the speed display, which you should press some time during your ascent. That way, the aircraft holds a speed relative to the speed of sound, which changes at altitude. Usually the auto flight system does this for you if set to managed mode, why aren't you at cruise like this? Quote
