swiber Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Hi, I was wondering if Xplane offers the possibility of using other performance models different than the ones given by the programme itself. I have some tables of the coefficients of lift, drag, thrust and other interesting information of real planes that I would like to implement in Xplane. But I don't know if this is possible or not. The question is if there is someway of telling Xplane to use my performance models instead of using theirs. Thank you Quote
ilias.tselios Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 Assuming that you want to edit an aircraft and not start one from scratch... You can open the aircraft in Planemaker and put in your data. Also if you have airfoil data you can edit or make a new airfoil in Airfoil-Maker. Cautions: 1. Do not do anything to a pay ware aircraft. Those are fine tuned by the developers and you probably you are going to break it! And then you cannot ask for support. 2. Always backup the aircraft before start doing anything! 3. Put in some data, does not that the aircraft will behave automatically like the real thing. There are "countless" factors to have in mind! 4. Do not get discourage if is not ok from the start. Quote
