Flying_pig Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 average speed during this was 35-40mph... 3
Keith Smith Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Holy cow, I had no idea xplane could handle the high alpha stuff so nicely. Was there anything special about the design of the airplane within xplane to allow all of this to happen?
Flying_pig Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) well I did have it set to 10 flight models per frame (at around 30-40 fps so 300-400 fm's a second, average is 2 a frame so only 60-80 fm's a second) other then that no. oh and here is a more high speed routine... with a very abnormal landing Edited April 11, 2014 by Flying_pig
Keith Smith Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Do you find that increasing it to 10fm/s makes a difference in the high alpha handling?
Flying_pig Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 Not that I can tell but this is coming from a person that has flown over 200+ different addon aircraft so for me I just look at a plane judge its general performance go off and fly it so I am pretty bad at noticing slight differences at this point
