Does anyone know what happened to avsim.com?

Hi all,

 

It has been more than a week that I was not able to access avsim.com at all.  I was wondering whether it's just me or there is a general problem with the site.

looks like a hardware failure

Had a hardware failure (hard drive/RAID array) on their forum servers. They've been working on fixing it for the better part of the week, but apparently the process is taking quite some time.

 

AVSIM does have a Facebook presance, and they've used that channel to provide basic "we're alive and working on it" messages.

Thanks.  I did not know about the FB page, as I am not on FB ;-)  It seems to be back online now.
