X-Plane X ATC doesn't work properly

I wonder why ATC can't guide me properly to the destination airport of my flight plan.

It usualy tells me to climb and after to go down again, or to take some course that doesn't make sense.

In some cases, tells me to descent and there is a montain ahead.

When finally asks me to confirm that I have the airport in sight and I confirm, even setting the frequency of the tower, I can't call it.

If I try to land, tha ATC tells me that I don't have permission to do that.

Do someone here understands this ATC, or can tell me how to call the tower to get the authorization to land?

Thanks

No way. ATC is buggy like hell. I stopped using it a long time ago. I wasn't able to complete a single flight without ATC going completely mad. If you want ATC you have to use live online ATC (Vatsim e.g.)

There are fixes "announced" for the 10.30 update (though no bug free guarantee) but ATC will remain very basic for a long time.

The ATC is useless. We know it, Laminar Knows it.

The ATC (much like parts of X-Plane) seemed to have grandiose ideals and a fantastic logical and editable framework for 3rd party development, just (1) unfinished execution (2) no 3rd parties have come to the table.

Use VATSIM.
