Real Weather... can I see what it is?

Hi,

Really enjoying flying in real weather but would like to know just what that weather is.

Is there a way to see the real weather that is being rendered before i take off?

X-plane uses the local Metar data it downloads for the airport you are currently starting at. So I would say just look up the Metar data at that airport using google or use your favorite weather site.

Or flip back to "uniform coverage". The window retains the real world settings (but obviously no longer updates).

Should try my local METAR right now. Would be a real challenge.
