Closing popup windows

Hi All,

 

I'm having difficulty dismissing popup windows.

 

I would assume the red X in the right hand corner would do the trick but no dice. 

 

The popups will not close.

 

Any suggestions?

I found the answer to my own question... by trial and error.

 

You reclick on the zone where you clicked to open the popup in the first place.

 

A little detail, I seemed to have missed in the manual.

 

Apologies.

 

Now, I still wonder what the red X is for.
