hello

i have copied a mail that has just come to me of soem one who has worked on this

Hi James,

well, the TrackIR4 and TrackIR5 should work as long as the mac has USB port...

Not sure if there isn't any issue compiling it on SnowLeopard(I still run Leopard) - but if there is, I can provide you with binary I compiled that should work on SL too.

In the works there is a new version, with GUI for setup, sensitivity curves and so on... I also plan to provide compiled version for Mac...

It depends on you - I can help you to make the thing working, or you can wait for some time (~1 or 2 months if things go well) for the new version.

Kind regards,

i also in add

were you can see trackIR on a mac so it can be done now, but i was just wondering if it will out of the box

there isn't any installer at all. just mount the DMG and drag the program called "ltr_gui" anywhere you want onto your hard disk. then open it and go to last tab

All,

Uhm, obviously, this is beyond me...

I have:

- A 2010 iMac with OSX 10.7.1

- TrackIR 5 plugged into one of the iMac's USB ports

- X-Plane 9.70 and running

- linuxtrack running from the Applications folder

On linuxtrack's Device tab, there's only Wiimote to chose from the Tracking Device dropdown. The log file is as pasted below.

Looks like the TrackIR is not even recognized by the Mac? One or several components / drivers / applications missing?

How gorgeous it would be if this worked! :)

Thank you,

Alex
