t5e Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 For the sake of beta testing, I usually have more than one version of X-Plane installed on my Mac. In order to save disk space and to speed up migration processes, I have my aircraft and scenery directories outside the X-Plane directories, and use soft links instead. This has been working for all aircraft and scenery (custom and default) so far.Unfortunately the plugin of the Saab 340 can't cope with it. It's opening the console with error messages saying, it cannot access files outside the X-Plane directory. When I move the aircraft directory into my X-Plane directory, all is working well Quote
AtomicFrawg Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 I believe you can only have it installed in the x-plane directory. I think it has to do with validation / anti-piracy / Gizmo. I will tell you this is not a bug and something they more than likely will not change. I have 3 other aircraft from them and they all require to be in the X-plane 10 dir. Quote
