greggerm Posted August 19, 2013 Report Posted August 19, 2013 Greetings, Upon updating/installing v1.2, I've noticed a change in how the HUD view functions. Prior to the update, selecting the X-Plane forward HUD view presented the classic (*dare I say proper?) appearance of a forward-looking view with only the HUD information superimposed on the window. Now on v1.2, the HUD mode keeps the 3D cockpit in view, and the HUD itself is superimposed on that while looking out the cockpit window, with all the cockpit instrumentation and framework cluttering the view. Despite the well-done 3D cockpit of the DC-3, I often enjoy flying in the HUD view to get an uncluttered, full-frame view of the world passing below. It'd be a great shame to have it lost on this aircraft. Would it be possible to have this view restored to its original functionality? Or did something go wonky with my installation which has caused this issue? -Greg
greggerm Posted August 20, 2013 Author Report Posted August 20, 2013 Most strange - upon further review (aka: tonight's flying session), the issue is not apparent and all is working normally. The HUD view is behaving as it should, without any signs of the 3D cockpit in view. Strange. It would appear to be OK at this time. I'll report back if it happens again.
