This is what I do:

1. assign an x-plane key to load a flight plan

2. press your custom key which brings up a popup window that lists all of your flight plans, pick one and now the entire route is loaded in the 430

3. Switch to GPS on the 430 and select NAV on the autopilot.

Hope this helps

Yep, I do what pcartier said on the Moo.

On other aircraft such as KingAir C90B, FlyJSim's (Q-Dash and the 727) and on JRollon's JetStream 32 I use Javier Cortes' UFMC which works very well.

Once the route has been created in the UFMC it will show in the 430 as well, then you switch to GPS, select NAV etc as previously.

I use the first method as illustrated by pcartier when I'm feeling too lazy to play with the UFMC, however using the UFMC has distinct advantages, such as planning SID & STARs .. only thing is that VNAV doesn't always work.

Just last night I was thinking of creating a Moo profile in the UFMC and seeing if it will work ...

I really miss the XP Reality Garmin 430 .. unfortunately it only works 32Bit and the devs don't answer emails. I wish that some other more empathic to X-Plane dev would take up the challenge and create a workable and high fidelity Garmin 430 for X-Plane ... or ... if it eventually matures in the core of X-Plane itself, now wouldn't that be the ducks nuts!
