Hi,

Often I have raindrops on the windows even when it is fair weather or clear sky.

I use Jetstream version 1.03, and I am running XP10 64 bit on WIndows 7, with a NVIDIA GTX 660 card.

I do not have this problem with other aircraft.

I do not have this problem with other aircraft.

Just remember not all aircraft have raindrop animation, but those that do *can* have the same raindrop effect you mentioned when it's not actually raining at that instant, sometime X-Plane gets a bit mixed up between sessions and loading other aircraft and sometimes on loading a different aircraft some settings might not get initalised correctly.

Example, last time I flew the B-777-200LR it was raining, I exited X-Plane and the next day, the Wx had improced (i.e. not raining now in downloaded Wx), but on startup X-Plane loaded the last aircraft I flew last time at the same airport and, you guessed it, there was raindrops on the cockpit windows (and it wasn't raining). :o

If it happens to you again, just switch on the windscreen wipers. :) or if you realy don't want raindrops just select CAVOK or switch off precipitation.

Well to make appear the raindrops in the jetstream I use the rain dataref.. If the ratio is more than cero, then I make them appear... but only when the plane is below the rainy clouds....  If it is all clear around and it is raining (saw in the dataref) then there is some kind of bug in xplane I guess.

Put as said Cavok condition.. and in the weather options make sure there is no rain selected at all... just for testing if it is right.

Thank you, Javier.

I will test some scenarios as suggested.

But if it is a bug in X-Plane it would be regrettable, because I like to fly with automated real weather (and not edit it each time when updated).

Hi Eric you might find this of use. ;)

If it's a "live bug"! that they havn't seen before, LR will usually get back to you pretty quick if they need more info. Well then did do on the reports I've sent in the past :)

I fiddled a bit, and indeed if there is no rain to be seen anywhere it's all okay. But I get the impression that I also get rain on the window sometimes when the rain is too far away, like in these screenshots. I cannot see it on the weather map, nor on the WX radar, nor in external view. Maybe the dataref should not be higher than zero but more like for instance 10%?

Yes.. but the dataref that has to be seen is the rain one. This one: sim/weather/rain_percent. With dataref editor plugin. If that dataref is more than 0.0 then you will have rain even you see a blue sky.
