Blender problem

When I was in blender I was joining some areas then I accidentally joined the two main areas and can't undo it and when I try to split the two areas again it will only go sideways? And I don't know what to do cause I am modeller ing my 3d cockpit!

Could you give more info? Maybe some pics...

What do you mean with joining areas? Vertices or objects?

 

Vertices - Try V or Y Keys, they correspont to Rip and Split.

Objects - Select desired object and press P to separate.

Oh yeah sorry by area i mean you can choose to split area, see in the pic i accidentally clicked join area now i can only split the area vertically.

Sorry, I can't see the pic you are referring to.

You can split adjacent areas until you get the result you want and then re-join the other surfaces.

A workaround would be duplicating the desired area and you'd have it separated.

Try using a loop cut (CTRL+r) to split it horizontally.

he's trying to split the blender work window, like "split area" so that you have two panels to work in. he merged all the work panels together and he's trying to re-split them

First split the area vertical, then right click the seam to split the next area.

Is this what your're trying to accomplish?
