delcamp36 Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 Had to reinstall X-Plane 10 but on trying to install from DVD 1 Avast blocks and says it is Malware. Any ideas on this.
Bobback Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 Some anti-virus softwares may give a lot of false positive warning on a lot of stuff. You can probably just turn off the software for an hour while you install X-Plane
delcamp36 Posted February 5, 2013 Author Report Posted February 5, 2013 Yes I did just that and X-Plane installed correctly. It was actually seeing the installer.exe as the threat. Now the antivirus is back on no threat is detected. Thanks for yor help anyway. 1
chris k Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) Xplane is a virus. You can't get rid of it once it has infected you. Edited February 6, 2013 by chris k 3
w9nwrwi Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 Same thing here but only when using the seperate X-plane installation program. When invoking x-plane.exe and then getting the "update" notice all went well. I did file a false positive report with them (Avast).
