I haven't noticed this before but just did a flight with light snow and sun setting and the view out the pilot and copilot windows was what I expected it to be but the view in the centre and both side windows on each side was different weather. The outside ( chase view ) was correct also. Pictures attached.

Also, when it got dark before I landed. I turned on the flood lights and the view out the side windows was like daylight, whereas the view out the pilot and copilot was dark??

I have attached screen shots.

I am really liking this aircraft though. It has a bit of a learning curve to feel comfortable flying it, but I am getting there.

4 seasons in 1 day!! lol!

No.. hehe.. what you are seeing in correct. only the pilot anc copilot sides in this simulated plane has the radiators so they only can be de-iced. What you are seeing is the reflections of the internal cockpit light over the iced windows, that are the sides and center ones. The pilot and copilot ones because are deiced shows what is normal, the night outside.

I really like the plane , but this doesn't look like reflections with iced up windows to me, sorry.

What's your explanation for the daylight ground at night with the Flood lights on in the cockpit? Where are the ground reflections coming from?

In image 3 of 5 you can see the ground below on the left and it is an overcast day as you can see from the 'chase view' and very little icing on the window. Why not just do it as if there were no 'icing' on the side windows i.e. draw what is out there and put a transulcent  iced window image over the actual? rather then a ground image on an overcast day???

Of course is not real reflection. in 3D engines all are tricks. If they weren't you would have 1-2 fps.

The only way to make a smooth ice transition in X-Plane is with a LIT texture that is self illuminated. Or have it or not.. and I preffer to have it.

It is self illuminated so that is why you see it more white.. but I have to say that for me the ice always is more reflective.. and reflections comes from inside the cockpit light.. but anyway.. this is a 3D engine and not the real world. In future if the engines give me more tools I will make the perfect ice.

I leaved the ice conditions in some windows because that will force you to abandon ice situations. Not fly them for ever. So once you see ice formation, leave those clouds away. I would do that in real life.

The purpose of the icing windows are not to be perfect.. but not to let you see through them.. and I like it how it is done.

Of course if you don't like it, you can deactivate the ice windows in planemaker, but you would loose all icing conditions in the windows, that would be shame.

This is not a bug or a graphic issue. It is the final version of Ice.... but as said, if you don't like it,

0. Make a backup of your acf file.

1. open the plane in planemaker

2. go to misc objects menu, in standards top menu.

3. Find the OBJ called "Hielo.OBJ"

4. hit the button near it called "clear"

5. hit the "x" icon in the top of the window

6. save the plane, in menu "file"

you won't have more icing on the windows.

Thanks for the info. I like it more than I don't like it. So, I won't be removing 'ice' altogether.

It just didn't make sense to me to see the ground at night at 14,000 ft below lit up when I turned on the light in the cockpit. Hopefully , down the road , I'm sure it will improve.

Still think your aircraft are the best though.

Hi, me again. I have attached a video of another flight that may better show the different weather conditions as seen from the various cockpit windows of the Jetstream32. I don't know if you have experienced this yourself and will be working to correct it or if possibly you have not seen it. It only appears when there is 'frost' on the side or centre window. However, even if there is only a hint of frost as seen in the video the clouds do not get drawn.

Thanks
