An226 Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 Hello, I have found a few things about engine shutdown that may be inaccurate in the simulator.1. I found if you pull the feather handle I could not return it to the normal position. According to the J32 manual i bought a while back, it is needs to be in the normal position to restart the engine. 2. The manual also states to press and hold the engine stop switch for 5 seconds to discharge engine purge accumulators in the shutdown procudures. When I pressed and held the stop button in the sim the engine kept running. Please let me know if any of this is incorrect. I was just wondering why the engine wouldnt shutdown easily. Is there anyway this could be fixed in a update later on. Thanks very much and hope some insight helped,Austin Quote
Japo32 Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 1. Because limitations, I had to do it that way. The feather is not only for put the engine to feather but also to shutdown the engines because a fire in this simulated plane. 2. You have 30 seconds to press the stop once the process of start has started. Once those 30 seconds have pass, the stop button won't do anything. To shut down the engines you have to close the LP fuel valves. Quote
