TobiBS Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Hi everyone,I would like to know if it is possible to use this beautiful plane as a basis for a homecockpit. I don't know much about X-Plane, but under MSFS it is often a problem to access switches and warning lights to interface them to a real world counterpart and I would like to know, if this is possible with your plane and X-Plane.Another point is how to get the displays out of the sim, is there a way to get them out of the outside view and put them on deidcated monitors? It would be great to get an idea what is possible and what will be maybe possible in the future. Thanks for your answer in advance.Tobias Quote
Japo32 Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 well. I don't know too much about building home cockpits. I would like to!!! but the only thing I have it is the only hardware I have is the MultiRadio from Opencockpits (http://www.opencockpits.com/)Right now there is a new spanish forum opened. They know english so maybe they can help you, because is about what you are asking:http://xcockpits.superforo.net/index.htm?sid=028ddc518fe3897b294cd475a5c80127maybe you can use google translators to more or less understand what they talk about. But if any user can give more info or pages on English that would be better for you. What I know is that we use datarefs. A datarefs is like a variable that changes it's value and depending on that we make animations and behaviours to the planes. Maybe you can use those Datarefs to control hardware things. Don't know.Anyway.. I would like so see so much a home cokcpit of the CRJ-200 for sure!! Quote

But if any user can give more info or pages on English that would be better for you.I know there are a few providers of hardware and I also built some own hardware which doesn't need any kind of interface card and communicates directly to my own software, anyway thank you for the tipps. What I know is that we use datarefs. I have no fear of programming and soldering my boards to get in contact with a software, but I need to know if there is access to the plane and its system logic, because with MSFS some rogrammers don't provide any kind of access to their planes, therefore they are useless for builders.I hope these datarefs are accessible in any way to communicate with your wonderful aircraft. Because this seems to be a valuebale solution. Thank you for your answer! Quote
Japo32 Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 I think that question should asked by Anton. Quote
Choix Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 May be 2 months after the release we are going to release SDK for this aircraft, with ability to get and set displays, LEDS, position of the buttons from and to the sim.So no problem for that...If you have questions - ask, I will try answer as soon as possible. I hope it will be accessible via C++ or similar.Another question: Are you are also simulating the FMS? That would be a key feature for our simulator. And how advanced is the system simulation, is there an overview somewhere? Quote

So take a look at X-Plane SDK... they will be mixed together. For the second question: FMS will be like real one with AIRAC database. So holdings, SID, STAR, fuel prediction, etc is simulated. Right now, the systems are working like in real one aircraft, except some special failures, but that will be added in future updates of the plane. Quote

Will all these features follow the initial release, or are you going to sell several versions with different features? I mean are there updates (even not free updates would be great) or are you providing several lines/versions like AirSimmer is doing for the A320? Quote
Japo32 Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Hi Tobi. The plane will have free updates aswell as maybe payware upgrades. For now we don't want to talk about the payware upgrades, because still there is a plane to finish. So after the release of it, if we see that there are people asking for those upgrades then we will make them. What upgrades?.. Maybe a complete failure system..... we will see. Quote
Andre Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Hi guys!!!Im new here and would like to say hello to all. Like many of you, I am eagerly waiting for the Crj to be released. I have built a full working cockpit, shell and all. Im running on MSFS and the wilco crj,200,700,900 but there are some major issues with this plane!!!! lol One of my questions is, will you be able to move the displays(PFD,MFD) if this question was answered im sorry for asking again.Andre Quote
