Rudder problem with latest beta 10.04

Hello All

I have updated to the latest beta 10.04 and I am having a problem with the rudder control.

My rudder axis is definitely set correctly on the joystick menu, and the rudder works fine until the takeoff run. I have assigned a button to toggle the nose wheel steering, so the rudder and not the nosewheel steers the aircraft on the takeoff run. This all worked fine before this update, but now when I toggle the nosewheel the rudder axis puts the left and right toe brakes on as well as applying rudder and therefore things are uncontrollable.

The beta release notes say that the left/right toe brakes should work if not assigned to a joystick axis. My joystick axis is assigned to the rudder. So I was just wondering if anybody else was experiencing this?

I will file a bug report if others are experiencing this, but please feel free to tell me if my set-up is wrong.

Many thanks

Simon

I have a message coming up since the patch saying Error Loading Scenery Package... then says something about their may be some errors in the scenery? Scenery loaded fine before the patch. And have not noticed anything major wrong. But that error comes up everytime.

Which package?

It tells you what it's trying to read.

P.S. this has nothing to do with a Rudder Problem in 10.04; you might want to create a different thread next time as to not confuse the public.

Hi All

Whilst I have been browsing the forums of late I have seen many people describing the issue of tyres smoking or locked as if brakes are on during takeoff and continually veering left or right, I believe this may be a result of the issue I describe in the initial post.

After the release of 10.04 Beta 7, I still see this problem. I have sent a bug report to LR.

I have overcome it for now by not using the nosewheel toggle and reducing the amount the nosewheel turns in planemaker for the aircraft I fly, this has stopped the incessant skid noise of the nosewheel turning too much at speed.

Still interested to know if this is occuring to other simmers?

Simon
