od1canod Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) Hi all,So I have 1.4.2 and Navigraph cycle 12.01 installed (the vasFMC native). Trying to setup for a flight from CYEG to KDEN as it is a daily flight by Skywest and I have watched it takeoff many times. When I select the STAR for KDEN I have issues. FMS states I must select the STAR before the runway but after doing so I still get that error when I try and select the runway?Any ideas? Is it the data, the plane or me?Owen Edited February 11, 2012 by od1canod Quote
Japo32 Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 I don't know if there where problems with navigraph data. As you may know the nav data has changed in format since the 1.4.0.. Now it is located inside CRJ200/plugins/CRJAvionics/navdataThere you will find some txt files and the LEVELD_proc. A user reported that in the data from Navigraph he had also a SID and STARs folders.. and that shouldn't be. The sids and stars are now located inside that LEVELD_proc... but in case you have those 2 extra folders copy them to the LEVELD_proc maybe is not a good idea.Philipp I believe he have just reported the problem or the issue with that... In case still you don't find solution try with the default database we sent in the 1.4.x version.... and will see if Navigraph can convert the data. Quote
Japo32 Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 there is a reply from Philipp about that problem here:http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/topic/2961-solved-vasfmc-navdata-navigation/ Quote
philipp Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 Hi Owen, for the STAR selection to work, you must select a transition (the old FMS didn't support this). So after selecting the STAR itself, press PREV PAGE until you see the transitions beneath the selected STAR. Select a transition, then you can select an approach. Again, watch out for the transitions beneath the selected approach and select one.Philipp Quote
