rddaos Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 Page 27 of the CRJ-200 tutorial discusses the procedure for setting pitch trim for takeoff. However, the procedure requires that we know the passenger seating assignments. But I do not know of any way to set passenger seating assignments in the CRJ-200. I only know how to set the center of gravity slider under Aircraft ---> Weight and Fuel. Can anyone help? Thanks... Quote
Japo32 Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 That part is only informative. It is not simulated in the CRJ200 the CG change depending on the passengers position. BUT I wanted to put that part in case people wanted to learn and follow the real procedures. Quote
rddaos Posted February 8, 2012 Author Report Posted February 8, 2012 Okay, in that case, what is recommended for setting pitch trim for takeoff and landing, since we cannot set it the official way? Do we simply make a test flight with specific amount of fuel and payload and center of gravity to determine the right amount of pitch for that specific weight and cg, and then re-that weight, cg, and pitch settings for future flights? Thanks! Japo32 Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 More or less is going to be the pitch trim that says the tables. I have flought many flights and the idea is to have a correct pitch up... and correct while flying to not pitch down.. or pitch up too much. With the numbers it gives the tables it is correct for take offs.Once you have taked off you have to continuesly correct the pitch trim.. that is why the pilots have the pitch trim controls in the yokes. At the left side.Take off pulling the yoke, then start to pitch to relax the pull to a central position of the yoke.. Once you do activate autopilots. Quote
