G5 not tracking to flight plan

Hi,

 

I have g5 installed and activated.  The needle doesn't do anything though.  It is not tracking to the flight plan.  It isn't showing any sort of course deviation.  Any idea why this could be?  The g5 also isn't showing up under connected hardware in the plug in drop down.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
